63 Days PS5 is a real-time tactics game from Destructive Creations, a Polish studio, set during the sixty-three days of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. The Warsaw Uprising behind the game
In August 1944 the Polish Home Army (Armia Krajowa), the underground resistance, rose against the German forces occupying Warsaw. The fighting lasted sixty-three days and ended with the defeat of the uprising and much of the city destroyed, which is where the game takes its name. 63 Days PS5 does not hand you superheroes. Your squad are ordinary young people with different backgrounds, personalities and skills, whom the studio describes as closer to brothers and sisters than to soldiers. Because the developer is Polish, the story is part of its own country’s history, and the ruined city is more than scenery: the rubble, passages and hidden corners are the playing field itself.
Real-time tactics, not turn-based
The most important thing to know before buying is that 63 Days PS5 is neither a shooter nor a turn-based strategy game. The clock keeps running, and enemy patrols keep moving while you decide what to do. It belongs to the same genre as the Commandos series and the studio’s earlier game War Mongrels: you watch guard routes, position each squad member and pick the moment to act. You can go in quietly, lean on coordination between characters, or fight in the open, depending on your style and the situation. Open firefights drain the squad quickly, though, so the game rewards patience and planning far more than fast reflexes.
Solo play and online co-op
Destructive Creations lists both single-player and online co-op for 63 Days. Playing alone, you switch between squad members and coordinate every move yourself, which suits players who like full control and are happy to retry until a plan works. In co-op, two players share the squad, and timing two silent takedowns at the same moment becomes easier and more fun. On PS5, online play normally requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription; that is Sony’s rule, not the game’s. The studio does not mention couch co-op on one screen, so plan on an internet connection and a second console if you want to play 63 Days PS5 with a friend.
The Home Army Edition on disc
The game first launched digitally on 26 September 2024 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The developer then announced the physical PS5 release, The Home Army Edition, which arrived on 5 November 2024 through publisher Meridiem Games, whose logo appears on the box. A disc is yours to keep: you can lend it, add it to a collection or sell it on later, and reinstalling does not depend on your digital library. The developer does not publish an official contents list for this edition’s box, so we do not promise any extras inside beyond the game disc in its standard PS5 case. Languages and the European version
According to the developer, 63 Days PS5 has full voice-over in English and Polish, with on-screen text in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Arabic is not on the list, which matters in a game where you read dialogue and mission instructions. This copy is the European version, carrying a PEGI 18 rating. PS5 game discs are not region-locked, so it plays normally on PS5 consoles sold in the UAE. The PS5 Digital Edition needs Sony’s add-on disc drive before it can read the disc, as with any physical PS5 game.
Who This Is Not For
63 Days PS5 is not for players who want a fast shooter or non-stop action: it is a game of planning and patience, built on watching, waiting and retrying. Under its PEGI 18 rating it is not for anyone younger than 18, as it shows the violence of war and occupation directly. There is no Arabic, either in the voice-over or in the text. The studio does not mention local co-op on one screen, and the disc will not play on a PS5 Digital Edition without the add-on disc drive.
