The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ is a vacuum-and-mop robot paired with an all-in-one station that takes over the chores that make ordinary robots tiring to own: emptying the dust compartment, washing the two rotating mop pads and air-drying them. Xiaomi rates the suction at 6000Pa, maps the home with an LDS laser, and lists a 5200mAh nominal battery good for up to 140 minutes in Standard mode with vacuuming and mopping. The station runs on 220 to 240V, so it plugs straight into UAE sockets.

What the all-in-one station does
When the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ docks, dual ducts empty its dust compartment into a disposable bag in about 10 seconds. Xiaomi says the bag can last up to 75 days, based on its test in a 100 square metre carpeted home with two people and daily cleaning. The station then washes the mop pads on its washboard with water from the 4L clean tank, collects the used water in a separate dirty tank, and air-dries the pads, lifting them for better airflow. Xiaomi does not state the dirty tank capacity, the wash water temperature or the drying time. You refill the clean tank, empty the dirty one and change the bag.
Suction, battery and cleaning modes
Xiaomi measures the 6000Pa figure at the suction inlet with a fully charged battery, so it is the maximum rather than everyday suction. That is enough for daily dust, crumbs, sand and pet hair on tiles, marble and short-pile rugs. The battery is 5200mAh nominal and gives up to 140 minutes of vacuuming and mopping in Standard mode in Xiaomi’s test; stronger modes shorten it. If the battery runs low mid-clean, the robot recharges and resumes. Four modes are available: vacuuming, mopping, vacuuming and mopping, and vacuuming before mopping.
Navigation and obstacle avoidance
An LDS laser scans 360 degrees to build an accurate map, plans whole-house routes and stores maps for multiple floors, which helps in villas and duplexes. At the front, the S-Cross wide-area structured light system detects chair legs and low obstacles, including in low light. Xiaomi quotes millimetre-level precision of plus or minus 5mm within 500mm in its rail test, and notes that what it can detect depends on conditions. Rooms, no-go zones and carpet areas are set in the Xiaomi Home app.
Mopping and carpets
The two mop pads of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ rotate at 180rpm, and Xiaomi says one full tank can cover up to 280 square metres in its daily cleaning test. The pads lift up to 7mm, but Xiaomi does not describe automatic carpet detection on this model: carpet areas are marked manually in the Map Editor. For carpets thicker than 5mm, Xiaomi recommends the Avoid carpets mode so they stay dry. In homes with thick rugs, the practical routine is to mark them and vacuum them in a separate run.
Size, power and app control
The robot measures 350 x 350 x 97mm and weighs 3.67kg, so check that the gap under sofas and beds is more than 97mm. The station measures 586 x 427 x 340mm and needs a permanent spot near a socket. It draws 1000W while emptying dust and 30W while washing, drying and charging. Control is through the Xiaomi Home app with OTA updates, and voice control works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant on compatible devices, depending on language and region.
Who This Is Not For
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ is not for homes covered in thick or shaggy carpet: the pads lift only 7mm and Xiaomi has no automatic carpet detection on this model. It is not for small apartments with no space for a 58.6cm-tall station. Xiaomi does not publish noise levels or the threshold height the robot can climb, and the dust bags are consumables that need replacing.
