Suction and navigation
Xiaomi rates the fan at 8000Pa. The robot maps your home with LDS laser navigation and 360° scanning, then cleans room by room. For obstacles it uses a 120° wide-area structured light sensor with an edge sensor and cliff sensor. Xiaomi does not list a camera, so pick up cables before a run.
An automatic hair-cutting brush cuts hair while cleaning, so less wraps around the main brush.
Edge mopping and carpets
The mop extends by about 40mm when it meets furniture legs and walls, and Xiaomi says the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Max cleans down to 2mm from edges in its test. That helps along skirting boards where round robots usually leave a line.
An ultrasonic sensor detects carpets and the mop pads lift 10mm, so rugs stay dry.
The Omni Station
The station washes the mop pads at up to 55°C with adjustable levels and dries them with hot air in as little as 3 hours. It holds 4L of clean water. Xiaomi does not publish the dirty water tank capacity.
Dust goes into a bag in the station. Xiaomi says the bag lasts at least 75 days in a 120m² home cleaned once a day. The station measures 340 × 420 × 563mm.
Battery and app
Xiaomi lists a 5,200mAh nominal battery (4,800mAh rated) and up to 120 minutes in Standard mode with vacuuming and mopping. Xiaomi does not publish runtime for stronger modes.
