The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 is a robot vacuum and mop for households that want floor chores handled from start to finish without paying for flagship extras. It vacuums with up to 10,000Pa of suction (Xiaomi’s maximum, measured at the inlet with a full battery), mops with two pads spinning at up to 180rpm, then heads back to its omni station, which empties the dust, washes the pads and air-dries them. Totot sells the EU version, whose station is rated 220-240V~ 50/60Hz, the same voltage as UAE mains.

What the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Station Does for You
The station takes over three jobs that would otherwise need your hands. First, mop washing: it soaks the pads to soften stains, then scrubs them at high speed on an immersion washboard that is cleaned at the same time, flushing the grime through a rinsing channel into the dirty water tank. A detachable filter sits on the dirty side, and an assisted flushing routine in the app helps when you clean the washboard by hand.
Second, drying. After washing, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 air-dries its pads to stop odours and mildew; drying time is adjustable from 2 to 12 hours, with 4 hours as the default. Third, dust. The robot’s 280ml compartment is emptied into a 2.5L disposable bag in the station. In Xiaomi’s simulated 100m² home with two people and daily cleaning, one bag lasted up to 75 days, which works out to about five bags a year.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Suction, Brushes and Mopping
Maximum suction is 10,000Pa, and you choose between Quiet, Standard, Strong and Turbo in the Xiaomi Home app. In Xiaomi’s lab test on hard floors, in Vacuum and Mop mode at Standard suction, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 collected more than 99% of large particles such as rice and soybeans. It handles everyday dust, hair and cat litter, which makes it a sensible fit for homes with pets.
To cut down on brush cleaning, Xiaomi uses two anti-tangle measures: Y-shaped comb teeth inside the main brush housing that stop hair from wrapping, and a dual-claw spiral side brush that directs hair straight to the suction inlet. For mopping, the two rotating pads reach up to 180rpm to work on dried-on marks, and three water flow levels let you set how damp the pads are. Level 2 is the default and is the setting Xiaomi pairs with Standard vacuum and mop cleaning.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Cleaning Modes and Planned Routes
An LDS laser on top performs a full 360° scan to build the map, then the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 plans tidy routes that leave fewer gaps. It supports multiple maps, quick mapping and resume cleaning, so after a mid-job recharge it carries on from where it stopped. There are four cleaning modes: vacuum before mopping, vacuum only, mop only, and vacuum and mop together. Vacuum before mopping copies what most people do by hand: lift the dust first, then mop a clean floor.
During coverage cleaning the robot moves at 0.3m/s, slowing to 0.2m/s along edges, and it climbs obstacles such as rugs and door thresholds up to 20mm. In the Xiaomi Home app you can start it remotely, set schedules, mark no-go zones, follow cleaning progress and tap a piece of furniture on the map for a spot clean around it. Voice control works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and the robot joins 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only.

Carpets, Water Tanks and Battery
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 does not detect carpets automatically. It carries ultrasonic sensors, but Xiaomi’s support FAQ states that automatic carpet detection is not supported; instead, you draw carpet areas in the app. When the robot enters those zones it lifts the mop pads by 10mm, and you can switch on Carpet Boost for stronger suction there, or choose to vacuum carpets only, avoid them, cross them or ignore them.
The clean water tank holds 4L. Xiaomi’s product page describes 4L clean and dirty tanks, while its support FAQ lists the dirty tank at 3.2L. For coverage, the product page gives up to 240m² per fill in daily cleaning mode, and the FAQ estimates about 120-180m² in typical use. The battery is 5200mAh (nominal) and runs for more than 120 minutes in Standard vacuum and mop mode, according to Xiaomi. A full charge from empty takes about 3 to 6 hours.
Who This Is Not For
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 keeps costs down by leaving out some sensors and moving parts, and that shows in these cases:
- Cluttered floors: obstacle handling relies on a mechanical collision bumper, so the robot finds objects by touching them; there is no front laser obstacle sensor. If cables and toys are common on your floor, the H50 Pro is the better pick.
- Homes with many rugs: carpet areas must be drawn manually, and Xiaomi advises avoiding carpets thicker than 8mm, long-pile rugs and rugs with tassels.
- Deep corner cleaning: there is no extending side brush and no swinging mop arm.
- Quick mop drying: drying uses unheated air, with 4 hours as the default time.
- Running costs: the station needs replacement dust bags, and Xiaomi recommends a new HEPA filter every 3 to 6 months.
- Plug type: the EU version comes with a two-pin Type F plug. The 220-240V rating suits UAE mains, but UK-style Type G sockets need a plug adapter.

FAQ
Does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 work with UAE electricity?
Yes. The station is rated 220-240V~ 50/60Hz, which matches UAE mains. Its EU two-pin Type F plug needs a simple plug adapter for UK-style Type G sockets.
Does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 detect carpets by itself?
No. Xiaomi states that automatic ultrasonic carpet detection is not supported on this model. You mark carpet areas in the Xiaomi Home app, and the mops then lift 10mm in those zones.
How often does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 dust bag need changing?
75 days is Xiaomi’s upper figure for the 2.5L bag, measured in a 100m² test home cleaned once a day. Larger homes, pets or carpets will fill it sooner.
How long does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 run per charge?
120 minutes or more in Standard vacuum and mop mode, according to Xiaomi’s support FAQ, from a 5200mAh battery that takes about 3 to 6 hours to charge fully.
Can it vacuum first and then mop in a single run?
Yes. The vacuum before mopping mode removes dust first and then mops the same rooms, which avoids pushing dust around with a wet pad.
Does it avoid obstacles before touching them?
No. Xiaomi describes a mechanical collision system, so the robot detects most obstacles on contact. Clear cables and small items before cleaning.
How big is the dirty water tank?
3.2L according to Xiaomi’s support FAQ, while the clean tank is 4L. The product page mentions 4L for both, so we list the more conservative figure.
