The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 is a vacuum and roller-mop robot for people whose main complaint is the floor itself: dusty tiles, sticky kitchen spots and marks that a spinning pad just pushes around. It pairs a constant-pressure roller mop turning at 220rpm with a maximum vacuum pressure above 30,000Pa, and it lives in an omni station that rinses the mop in hot water, dries it and bags the dust. We sell the EU version, robot model PV32GL with station PV32-JZEU.

A Roller Mop That Keeps Its Pressure
Round spinning pads tend to lose contact at the edges and leave streaks on glossy tiles. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 uses a long roller instead. Xiaomi measured it turning at 220rpm (±10rpm, infrared tachometer), and the roller is held against the floor with constant pressure while staying evenly damp. A scraper built into the housing wipes dirty water off the roller as it turns, so each rotation meets the floor with a cleaner surface rather than spreading yesterday’s coffee across the hallway.
You can set three water levels in the app: lighter for parquet that should not get wet, heavier for a kitchen after a busy weekend. Both the roller and the side brush sit on extending arms, so the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 reaches out along skirting boards, into corners and around chair legs instead of leaving the usual grey line along the wall.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Suction and Hair Handling
Xiaomi rates the fan at more than 30,000Pa. This is the maximum vacuum pressure read with a gauge at the fan blower while the motor is fed by an external power supply in Xiaomi’s lab, so treat it as a fan rating rather than a floor-level reading. In daily use the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 is aimed at dust, small and large particles, debris, hair and deep carpet dust.
Hair is the usual reason a robot stops halfway. On the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 the main brush has two blades that cut hair as it collects, and the side brush is designed to throw hair off rather than wrap it. Xiaomi notes that the anti-tangle results were measured with dry hair under lab conditions; wet hair or lint may behave differently.
For obstacles the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 relies on an AI camera that, according to Xiaomi, recognises more than 220 common objects such as shoes and bathroom scales and steers around them. The recognition is off by default and is switched on under Settings, AI recognition, in the Xiaomi Home plugin. Xiaomi’s product page for this model does not describe its mapping sensor, so we cannot tell you whether it uses LiDAR.
Slim Body, 4cm Steps and Carpet Sense
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 is 9cm tall including the bumper, measured on a level surface by Xiaomi, which lets it slide under many beds, cabinets and sofas where dust collects. When the camera spots an obstacle ahead, the robot lifts itself on two mechanical feet and can cross vertical steps and thresholds up to 4cm, so a raised bathroom or balcony sill is less likely to end a cleaning run.
Carpets are picked up by an ultrasonic sensor. On detection, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 lifts the mop by up to 1cm and can raise suction at the same time, once Carpet boost is turned on in the app after the first cleaning task. For rugs thicker than 0.8cm or with long pile, Xiaomi recommends choosing carpet avoidance mode, because a 1cm lift is not enough to keep a thick rug dry.

Station Care: 80°C Rinse, 2-Hour Drying, 4L Tank
When a job ends, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 docks and the station re-washes the roller with water that Xiaomi measured above 80°C during the final washing stage. Hot air then dries the roller; in Xiaomi’s test the pad was 99% dry after 2 hours. That short drying time is useful in a humid coastal apartment, where a mop that stays damp for half a day starts to smell.
The clean water tank of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 holds 4L. In daily cleaning mode, washing the roller every 25m², Xiaomi reached a maximum of 300m² on one fill, which covers most apartments and many villas floor by floor. Dust is moved automatically from the robot into a large bag that is sealed on removal; Xiaomi’s test, in a simulated 100m² home with two people and carpets cleaned once a day, found the bag lasted more than 75 days.
Power draw at the station is 600W while emptying, 1250W while heating wash water and 155W while drying and charging. The station measures 347 × 288 × 550mm without the ramp and 347 × 470 × 550mm with it, and a slot at the back keeps the cable tidy against the wall.
App, Voice and Small Details
In Xiaomi Home you can schedule cleaning, draw no-go zones, change modes and start the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 from outside the house. It can also join Xiaomi smart-home scenes, for example starting a clean when you leave and running an air purifier afterwards, with those devices sold separately. Voice control works through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant on a compatible speaker. Xiaomi lists a TÜV SÜD test against the ETSI EN 303 645 cybersecurity standard, a child lock, OTA updates and a 5200mAh nominal battery (4800mAh rated).
Who This Is Not For
- Homes without a plug adapter: this is the EU model with a two-pin Schuko plug. Its 220–240V rating suits UAE mains, so only a plug adapter for UK-style sockets is needed, and it should handle the 1250W peak while the station heats water.
- People who want published runtime figures: Xiaomi does not list battery runtime, charging time or noise level for the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6.
- Buyers wanting mess recognition: Xiaomi’s page for this model talks about obstacle recognition only; it does not claim stain detection or a remote video view.
- Houses with deep-pile rugs: the mop lifts only 1cm, so thick rugs need carpet avoidance and will be vacuumed without mopping around them.
- Tight spaces: with the ramp fitted the station needs 470mm of depth and 550mm of height.
- Zero-maintenance expectations: you still refill clean water, empty dirty water and replace dust bags.

FAQ
Is the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 suitable for UAE sockets?
Yes for the voltage: the station is rated 220–240V~ 50/60Hz like UAE mains. The plug is the EU two-pin type, so you need an adapter for UK-style Type G sockets, ideally one rated well above the 1250W the station uses while heating water.
How large an area can it mop before I refill water?
300m² is Xiaomi’s maximum on one 4L tank, measured in daily cleaning mode with the roller washed every 25m².
Does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 lift the mop on rugs?
Yes, by up to 1cm after the ultrasonic sensor detects carpet. For rugs thicker than 0.8cm Xiaomi suggests carpet avoidance mode.
Can the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 go under my bed?
9cm is the height Xiaomi gives, bumper included, so it fits under furniture with more clearance than that.
Does it recognise stains like the 6 Pro?
No such claim appears on Xiaomi’s page for this model. It lists AI recognition of more than 220 obstacle types, not stain detection.
How long is the battery runtime?
Xiaomi does not publish a runtime or charging time for this model; it lists a 5200mAh nominal battery.
