It is still a gear-driven system rather than direct drive, so the feel is lighter and slightly less detailed than a high-end base, and you will hear the mechanism working during strong effects. For most console racers that is a sensible trade at this price. Steering position is read by a Hall-effect sensor, and solid steel ball bearings support the wheel shaft.
Floor Pedals Included, Shifter Sold Separately
The Logitech G29 comes with its floor pedal unit: accelerator, brake and clutch in stainless steel, adjustable for position, with a retractable non-slip pad under the base so it stays put on a hard floor. The pedals plug into the wheel through a DB9 connector on a 1.8 m cable.

Xbox players need the G920 instead of the Logitech G29. Sim racers chasing lap times on PC may outgrow a gear-driven wheel and want direct drive and a load-cell brake. The shifter costs extra. The wheel needs a sturdy mount, a power socket and floor space for the pedals, which makes it awkward in a small shared room. And if you mostly play arcade racers with a controller, a wheel may sit unused.
