Logitech G920 Is the Xbox and PC Version
Logitech sells the Driving Force wheel in two platform versions. The G29 works with PS5, PS4, PS3 and PC. The Logitech G920 works with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The two are not interchangeable: a G920 will not drive a PlayStation, and a G29 will not drive an Xbox. On PC either one works, so PC-only racers can simply choose the one that suits them.
Logitech’s support specifications list Windows 10 or 11, a free USB port and 150 MB of disk space for the G HUB software on PC. macOS is not in that list, so Mac users should not count on support. On Xbox, the wheel connects by its USB cable and works in racing games that support wheels.
Force Feedback in the Logitech G920: Dual Motors and Helical Gears
Two motors drive the force feedback, and they act on the wheel through helical gears, which Logitech says are modelled on the gears used in car transmissions for smooth, quiet steering. Manual Gearbox: Driving Force Shifter Sold Separately
No H-pattern shifter comes with the Logitech G920. Logitech sells the Driving Force Shifter as a separate product: a six-speed H-pattern gearbox with push-down reverse, a steel shaft and a leather-wrapped knob and boot, compatible with the G923, G29 and G920. Without it you change gear with the steel paddles on the wheel.
Power and Setup
The wheel needs its own power supply, which Logitech lists as 24 V 1.75 A, auto-switching, and it talks to the console or PC over USB 2.0. On PC, Logitech G HUB handles settings and firmware. Plan for a power socket near your gaming spot, since the wheel does not run from USB power alone.
