Two satellites and a real subwoofer
Harman Kardon lists six 40 mm mid-range drivers, two 25 mm tweeters and one 5.25-inch subwoofer, and calls it a 3-way design. Each satellite holds three mid-range drivers and one tweeter, and the subwoofer has its own box. Splitting the bass off to a separate unit is what lets a system like the Harman Kardon SoundSticks 5 reach lower than a single compact speaker: the large cone moves more air, and the small towers can concentrate on voices and detail. Bluetooth 5.4, two phones and Auracast
Bluetooth 5.4 with the A2DP 1.4 and AVRCP 1.6.2 profiles handles music from phones and tablets, and Harman Kardon says the system can stay connected to up to two mobile devices at the same time. Auracast lets it link with other compatible speakers. The Harman Kardon One app covers setup, EQ, light show settings and updates, and touch controls on the base of the right-hand speaker handle volume and playback. Harman Kardon also sells a separate SoundSticks 5 Wi-Fi model; this Bluetooth version has no Wi-Fi, AirPlay or Chromecast.

In black, the transparent domes show the drivers inside while the base stays dark, so the Harman Kardon SoundSticks 5 blends with gaming setups, black TV units and dark shelves, and it hides dust and fingerprints better than the white version. The subwoofer measures 237.5 x 283.4 x 237.5 mm and weighs 3.7 kg; each satellite measures 95.5 x 281.1 x 95.5 mm and weighs 0.8 kg. Power input is 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, which covers UAE sockets. Who This Is Not For
The Harman Kardon SoundSticks 5 is not portable: there is no battery, no published water or dust rating and three separate pieces that need three places to sit.
