The Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo is the full-day kit for the Osmo Action 6, DJI’s first action camera with a variable aperture. Its 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor has 2.4 μm pixels and up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range by DJI’s figures, the aperture moves between f/2.0 and f/4.0, and the square sensor allows a Custom 4K mode (3840 × 3840) you can crop to landscape or portrait later. The camera is waterproof to 20 m without a case. In the Adventure Combo you get three batteries, Multifunctional Battery Case 3, the Osmo 1.5 m Extension Rod, two two-way quick-release mounts and the usual mounting parts.

Variable aperture from f/2.0 to f/4.0
Almost every action camera has a fixed aperture. The Osmo Action 6 in the Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo can close down from f/2.0 to f/4.0, which DJI describes as aperture modes suited to different scenes. In practice, f/2.0 lets in the most light for dusk, indoor sports and night streets, while a smaller aperture helps in harsh desert or beach sun and gives sharp starbursts around lights. At f/4.0 the focus range is 0.2 m to infinity, useful for close objects. The Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo gives you this camera with enough battery to experiment across a whole day, from sunrise to evening.
A square 1/1.1-inch sensor and Custom 4K
In the Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo, the new square sensor is what enables the Custom 4K mode at 3840 × 3840 up to 60fps: you film once and decide later whether the clip becomes a 16:9 YouTube shot or a 9:16 Reel, without turning the camera. The Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo camera also has native vertical 4K (2160 × 3840) modes up to 120fps. Normal video reaches 4K at 120fps in 16:9 and 4:3, slow motion goes to 8× at 1080p/240fps, and photos are about 38 MP. 8K at up to 30fps is available in 16:9, with limits DJI lists: RockSteady only, restricted field of view options, and maximum ISO of 12800 (6400 in D-Log M).
Three batteries and Multifunctional Battery Case 3
The Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo includes three Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus packs of 1950 mAh (7.5 Wh) each. DJI measures up to 240 minutes per battery at 1080p/24fps with RockSteady on and Wi-Fi, gesture control, voice control and screens off, at 25 °C; 4K at higher frame rates will drain faster. In the Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo, Multifunctional Battery Case 3 stores and charges the spares, so a hiking or diving day is a matter of swapping packs. DJI says the camera supports fast charging from a USB-C PD 3.0 charger of 30 W or more, which is not included; a USB-C PD (USB 3.1) cable is in the box.
1.5 m extension rod and two-way quick-release mounts
The Osmo 1.5 m Extension Rod in the Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo gives third-person angles while walking, cycling or skiing, and lifts the camera over water or crowds. The two Osmo two-way quick-release mounts let the camera clip on in landscape or portrait orientation directly, and the kit adds a curved adhesive base for helmets, two locking screws and an anti-slip pad. You can keep one mount on the rod and another on a helmet or bike and move the camera between them in seconds.
Waterproofing, stabilization, screens and control
With the battery and USB-C covers closed, the camera in the Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo is ready for water; and the glass lens cover tightened, the camera is waterproof to 20 m without a case and 60 m with the waterproof case, sold separately; DJI rates both IP68. RockSteady 3.0 and 3.0+, HorizonBalancing and HorizonSteady cover stabilization, with the horizon features working at 60fps or less. Subject tracking runs up to 2.7K/60fps. A 1.46-inch front and 2.5-inch rear OLED touchscreen handle framing, voice control works in English and Mandarin within about 1 m, and pre-recording keeps up to 5 minutes before you press record. Internal storage is 64 GB, 50 GB usable, plus microSD up to 1 TB.
Who This Is Not For
The Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo does not include a waterproof case, microphone, charger or lens accessories such as the macro lens, which DJI sells separately. Third-party microphones need the Osmo Action 3.5 mm audio adapter. 8K recording comes with clear limits on stabilization and ISO, and 8K editing in DJI Mimo currently needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later. If you only shoot short clips near home, the Essential Combo with one battery costs less.
