The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo puts two cameras on one 3-axis gimbal small enough for a jacket pocket. The main wide camera uses a new 1-inch CMOS sensor behind a 20 mm equivalent f/2.0 lens, and a second 1/1.28-inch camera adds a 60 mm equivalent f/1.8 lens for portraits and tighter framing. DJI quotes up to 17 stops of dynamic range for the wide camera, adds its new D-Log 2 profile, and records 4K slow motion at up to 240fps. This unit is the Classic Black version, supplied with the Osmo Pocket 4 handle, a fill light, a wrist strap, a carrying pouch and a USB-C cable.

Two cameras: 20 mm wide and 60 mm medium tele
Most pocket gimbals give you one wide lens and digital zoom. The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo has a second camera on the gimbal head, so you can switch between a 20 mm view for rooms, streets and selfies and a 60 mm view for faces, products and details. The 60 mm camera uses a 1/1.28-inch sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, which separates a person from the background more naturally than cropping the wide image. The wide camera focuses from 0.09 m, close enough for food and small objects, while the 60 mm focuses from 0.2 m. In video, digital zoom reaches up to 12x; in slow motion and timelapse only the two optical focal lengths (1x and 3x) can be chosen.

Dynamic range, D-Log 2 and slow motion
The wide camera of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo uses LOFIC technology, which DJI says lifts dynamic range to 17 stops, helping a bright window and a dark room stay in the same shot. For grading, DJI introduces D-Log 2. Normal video runs at 4K up to 60fps in 16:9, or 3K up to 60fps in vertical 9:16. Slow motion on the wide camera reaches 4K at 240fps (8x), and the 60 mm camera reaches 4K at 200fps. A low-light video mode records 4K at up to 30fps with ISO extended to 51,200 on the wide camera. Footage is saved as HEVC MP4 at up to 180 Mbps.

Gimbal, ActiveTrack and the touchscreen
On the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo, the three-axis mechanical gimbal does the stabilisation, so walking shots stay smooth without the heavy crop of electronic stabilisation. DJI lists a controllable speed of up to 180 degrees per second and angular vibration of plus or minus 0.005 degrees. ActiveTrack 8.0 keeps a subject in the centre of the frame, even while zoomed in up to 12x. Framing and settings happen on a 2.0-inch touchscreen with 556 x 314 resolution and up to 1,000 nits brightness, which helps outdoors in the UAE sun. Photos reach 7680 x 4320 in 16:9 or 6144 x 6144 in 1:1, about 37 MP per single shot, with JPEG and DNG options and native Live Photos.

Battery, charging and storage
The built-in battery of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo holds 1545 mAh (11.95 Wh). DJI quotes up to 210 minutes of running time, measured at 25 degrees C at 1080p/24fps with Wi-Fi off and the screen off, so expect less when recording 4K or using the screen. With DJI’s 65 W portable charger, which is sold separately, it reaches 80 percent in 18 minutes and 100 percent in 32 minutes. The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo also has 103 GB of built-in storage, and a microSD slot takes cards up to 1 TB. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.4 connect it to the DJI Mimo app, and three built-in microphones record at 48 kHz.

What the Standard Combo includes
In the box of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo you get the camera, the Osmo Pocket 4 handle with a 1/4-inch thread for tripods and accessories, the Osmo Pocket 4 fill light, a DJI wrist strap, the Osmo Pocket Pro portable carrying pouch and a USB-C to USB-C PD cable (USB 3.1). That is enough to start filming, light a face at night and mount the camera on a small tripod. It does not include a wireless microphone or a charger. The Classic Black finish is the version DJI launched first; DJI announced Pearl White as a second colour that was not available at launch.

Who This Is Not For
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo is not for anyone who needs a waterproof or impact-proof camera: it is a pocket gimbal with exposed moving parts, and DJI rates operation only from 0 to 40 degrees C. It is not the cheapest way into the series either; if you never need the 60 mm camera, the single-camera Osmo Pocket 4 costs less. The battery is built in and cannot be swapped, normal 4K video tops out at 60fps, and there is no wireless microphone or charger in this combo.
