Description

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro is a vacuum and mop robot built around reach: its side brush and both mop pads move outward on robotic arms to clean into corners, along skirting boards and under low furniture. Xiaomi rates suction at up to 15,000Pa, measured at the inlet with a full battery, and pairs the robot with an all-in-one station that empties the dustbin, washes the pads and dries them with hot air. The unit sold by Totot is the EU version, with a station rated 220-240V~ 50/60Hz, which matches UAE mains voltage.

How the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro Reaches Edges and Corners

Most round robots leave a thin strip of dust along the walls, because a circular body cannot sit flush against a skirting board. Xiaomi tackles this on the H50 Pro with two moving parts. The side brush extends automatically when the robot detects a corner, and the two mop pads sit on arms that swing outward to follow walls, curved skirting and table legs. Xiaomi states that the mop extension distance is 68% longer than on its other robot vacuums, and in lab tests with the enhanced edge and corner mode switched on it measured a minimum distance of 0mm to edges and corners.

The arms also reach underneath furniture. When the gap below a bed, sofa or fridge is at least 2.8cm high, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro pushes its mop arms in to wipe the floor beneath, which is where dust and sand tend to collect in UAE homes. Treat these figures as best-case lab numbers: the real result depends on how your furniture is arranged and how irregular the walls are.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro Suction: 15,000Pa and Two Anti-Tangle Defences

Peak suction is 15,000Pa, a figure Xiaomi measured with a vacuum gauge at the inlet of a fully charged robot. In the Xiaomi Home app you choose between four suction levels: Quiet, Standard, Strong and Turbo. On hard floors in Vacuum and Mop mode at Standard suction, Xiaomi reports that the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro picked up more than 99% of large particles such as rice and soybeans.

Hair is handled at two points. Y-shaped comb teeth inside the main brush cover block strands and then work them loose, while a dual-claw spiral side brush steers hair toward the inlet instead of winding it around itself. Xiaomi notes that its tests used dry hair, so wet hair or fluff may behave differently. Carpets are picked up by an ultrasonic sensor: the robot lifts both mop pads by 10mm, can raise suction automatically, and offers four carpet strategies in the app, from vacuuming carpets first to ignoring them.

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro Station: Washing, Hot-Air Drying, Dust Emptying

The all-in-one station holds a 4L clean water tank and a 4L dirty water tank. Xiaomi rates one fill at up to 240m² of mopping in daily cleaning mode, and its support documentation says a full tank covers up to 32 mop washes. During washing the pads spin against a self-cleaning washboard, and dirty water is flushed through a rinsing channel into its own tank so grime does not sit in the base.

Once the job is finished, hot air dries the pads. The default drying time is 2 hours, and you can set 2, 3 or 4 hours; in Xiaomi’s test at 25°C and 55% humidity, moisture dropped by more than 99% after 2 hours. Dust from the 280ml onboard compartment is pulled into a bag in the station. In a simulated 100m² home cleaned daily, one bag lasted about 75 days. Xiaomi does not publish the bag volume for the H50 Pro. In mopping-only mode the robot runs as quietly as 57dB(A), according to Xiaomi.

Navigation, Obstacle Sensing and the Xiaomi Home App

A rotating LDS laser on top scans the home in 360°, builds the map and plans S-shaped routes. The robot stores up to 4 maps plus 1 temporary map, which suits duplex apartments and villas. At the front, a structured-light sensor with a 129° field of view (a single-line laser) spots low obstacles, even in dim rooms, and works together with a mechanical bumper. Cliff sensors stop falls on stairs, and the robot climbs thresholds up to 20mm.

Through the Xiaomi Home app you can schedule cleaning, draw no-go zones, clean single rooms, tap a piece of furniture on the map to clean around it, and set how often the mops are washed (three frequency options). Voice control works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only; 5GHz networks are not supported.

Who This Is Not For

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro is a weaker match in the following situations:

  • Floors with loose cables, socks or pet accidents: the robot relies on a single-line laser plus a bumper, not a camera that identifies objects, so a quick tidy-up before each run is wise.
  • Thick or long-pile rugs: Xiaomi recommends the Avoid Carpet setting for carpets thicker than 8mm or with fringes, which means those rugs get skipped rather than cleaned.
  • Raised thresholds above 20mm: the robot cannot climb them without a small ramp.
  • Tight utility corners: the station is 495mm tall and 411mm deep and needs free space on both sides.
  • 5GHz-only routers: setup needs a 2.4GHz network.
  • UK-style sockets: this EU version has a two-pin Type F plug. Its 220-240V rating matches UAE mains, but most UAE sockets are three-pin Type G, so you will need a plug adapter.

FAQ

Will the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro work on UAE power?

Yes. The station is rated 220-240V~ 50/60Hz, the same voltage as UAE mains. The EU version has a two-pin Type F plug, so a plug adapter is needed for UK-style Type G sockets.

How long does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro run on one charge?

180 minutes is the longest figure Xiaomi gives, in Quiet vacuum mode. For Standard vacuum and mop, Xiaomi’s support FAQ quotes between 120 and about 150 minutes, and a full charge from 0% takes roughly 3 to 6 hours.

Does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro station dry the mops with hot air?

Yes. Drying runs for 2 hours by default and can be set to 3 or 4 hours. The pads also lift during drying to help airflow.

Can the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro recognise cables and small objects?

No, it does not use a camera to identify object types. Xiaomi states it combines a single-line laser with a mechanical bumper, which detects low obstacles but cannot tell a cable from a chair leg.

What does the Pro add over the standard H50?

5,000Pa more peak suction is the first difference (15,000Pa against 10,000Pa). The Pro also adds the extending side brush and mop arms, a front structured-light obstacle sensor, automatic ultrasonic carpet detection and hot-air drying.

How often do the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro filter and brushes need replacing?

3 to 6 months for the HEPA filter, which Xiaomi says should be cleaned weekly, and 6 to 12 months for the main brush.
