Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is a side-on action adventure platformer from the developer Seedy Eye Software, and this is its European PlayStation 5 disc, published by Clear River Games. After ten years of peace the evil Daimur has returned, and Princess Arzette is the Kingdom of Faramore’s only hope. The game pairs hand-painted backgrounds and sprite art with fully voice-acted cartoon cinematics, and the box is rated PEGI 7.

Which Edition of Arzette This Is
There are two physical PS5 releases of Arzette. In North America, Limited Run Games sold it as PS5 Limited Run #85 with an ESRB E10+ rating. The copy we stock is the European edition: Clear River Games lists itself as publisher, with a release date of 28 March 2025, and the back of the box says it is licensed for sale in Europe, published by Clear River Games and developed by Seedy Eye Software, with the Limited Run Games logo printed alongside.
The PEGI 7 label sits on the front, with a violence descriptor on the back. Clear River Games also released the game on Nintendo Switch, which is a separate product.
The Story: Princess Arzette and the Return of Daimur
The official setup is short and classic. Clear River Games describes it this way: after ten years of peace, the evil Daimur has returned, and Princess Arzette is the Kingdom of Faramore’s only hope to restore harmony to the land. The back of the box calls Arzette a new interactive animated adventure.
According to Limited Run Games’ description, the princess must explore the Kingdom of Faramore, slay fearsome foes, acquire powerful items, discover secrets, assist colourful characters and defeat Daimur. It is a single-player game from start to finish.
Hand-Painted Worlds and Voiced Cartoon Cinematics
The presentation is what sets the game apart. Clear River Games highlights hand-painted backgrounds and sprite art, and fully voice-acted cartoon cinematics between the action. The gallery shows both: side-scrolling stages in caves, deserts and swamps, and hand-drawn cutscene characters with exaggerated expressions.
The official credits list the artist Rob Dunlavey, Digital Foundry’s John Linneman, the composer Jake Silverman, and voice talent including Jeffrey Rath and Bonnie Jean Wilbur.
How Arzette Plays
Clear River Games files the game under action, adventure and platformer. You explore a sprawling world with diverse locations and many secrets, and you gain powerful items and abilities by exploring and helping those in need, so going back to earlier areas with new tools is part of the design.
The screenshots show a heart-based health bar, an item counter and a gem counter, with sword attacks and platforming across varied stages. The box lists 1 player and a minimum of 2.1 GB of storage on your PS5.
Who This Is Not For
Arzette is not for players who want multiplayer: it is single-player only. Its look is deliberately cartoonish and retro, built on sprite art and drawn cutscenes, so anyone expecting modern 3D visuals will be disappointed. Clear River Games lists English, Spanish, French, German and Italian, with no Arabic. It needs 2.1 GB of free storage, and as a PS5 disc it will not run on a PS4.
