The Xiaomi Router BE7000 is a Wi-Fi 7 home router with four 2.5G Ethernet ports, a USB 3.0 port, a quad-core Qualcomm processor and 1 GB of RAM. Xiaomi sells the Router BE7000 through its China store, and its official page describes a 2.4 GHz plus 5 GHz design with 4K QAM, 160 MHz channels and Multi-Link Operation, rather than the 6 GHz band that some Wi-Fi 7 routers add.

Router BE7000 Wi-Fi 7: What the 7000 Means
Xiaomi explains that the 7000 in the name is a speed class: the combined maximum theoretical rate of the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands is 6,913 Mbps. No single device connects at that figure. It is the sum of all radios at their theoretical peak, which is how every router maker calculates these numbers.
The Wi-Fi 7 features Xiaomi lists are 4×4 160 MHz channels, 4K QAM modulation and MLO, which lets a compatible phone use two 5 GHz bands at once. In Xiaomi’s lab a Xiaomi 13 Pro reached a theoretical peak of 4.3 Gbps over MLO. Xiaomi mentions no 6 GHz band and no 320 MHz channels, so the Router BE7000 does not offer the widest channels in the Wi-Fi 7 standard.
Dual-Band or Tri-Band Mode
Out of the box the Router BE7000 runs in dual-band mode, which Xiaomi says gives the widest coverage and the broadest compatibility. You can switch it manually to tri-band mode, which splits 5 GHz into two bands. That mode is required for dual-5G MLO and for dedicated high-speed mesh backhaul, but Xiaomi warns that coverage drops noticeably in tri-band mode.
For most apartments dual-band is the right default. Tri-band makes sense when you run a Xiaomi mesh system, or when you have several MLO-capable phones and want to keep gaming traffic on its own band.
Four 2.5G Ports and a USB 3.0 Port
All four Ethernet ports on the Router BE7000 are 2.5G. Xiaomi supports custom IPTV and gaming ports, plus dual-WAN or dual-LAN link aggregation up to 5 Gbps, which suits a fibre line faster than 1 Gbps or a NAS with two 2.5G ports. A PC, games console or TV can connect at 2.5G directly.
The USB 3.0 port turns an external drive into a basic home NAS with Samba file sharing, and Xiaomi also lists Docker support. Xiaomi quotes up to 260 MB/s in its lab; real speed depends on the drive and the network.
Processor, Memory and Device Capacity
Xiaomi uses a Qualcomm Wi-Fi 7 platform with a quad-core Cortex-A73 processor rated at 28,800 DMIPS and 1 GB of RAM. Xiaomi claims up to 600 connected devices; that is a combined lab figure across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and LAN, and a real home will be limited much earlier by airtime and interference.
Eight high-power signal amplifiers, including two extra on the 2.4 GHz band compared with Xiaomi’s AX6000, are aimed at better range through walls. Vents on the top, sides and bottom keep the Router BE7000 cool for round-the-clock use, and Xiaomi recommends standing it upright in an open, central spot about 1 m off the floor.
Mesh, NFC and the Mi Home App
The Router BE7000 meshes with other Xiaomi and Redmi routers that support Xiaomi Mesh and Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7; carrier-branded editions are excluded. Seamless roaming needs client devices that support 802.11k/v, and binding the router requires the Mi Home app, version 8.9 or later.
NFC tap-to-connect lets an Android phone with NFC join the Wi-Fi by touching the router with its screen unlocked; Xiaomi does not list iPhone support for this. Enhanced OFDMA, used with Wi-Fi 7 devices, cut latency by up to 20% in Xiaomi’s lab.
Who This Is Not For
This router is sold by Xiaomi for the Chinese market, and Xiaomi’s official page for it is in Chinese only. Several listed extras, such as Baidu Netdisk downloads, the UU and Youbangbang game accelerators and app-based parental filtering, are built around Chinese services and may be of little use in the UAE. Xiaomi does not publish the power adapter’s input rating or plug type on that page.
If you want 6 GHz Wi-Fi or 320 MHz channels, the Router BE7000 does not offer them. And if your internet plan and your devices are all 1 Gbps or slower, the 2.5G ports and Wi-Fi 7 features will add little over a good Wi-Fi 6 router.
