The Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition is the boxed first-run PS5 release of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, Cygames’ expanded version of its action RPG. It launched on 9 July 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, PS4 and Steam. On Cygames’ product page the physical release is the Standard Edition, which contains the full game, so you do not need to own the original Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Cygames states that physical versions from the first production run include a Guts III and Autorevive III Sigil Set as a bonus.

A new story arc and six new characters
According to the PlayStation Blog hands-on report, Endless Ragnarok opens with a new story arc that unlocks the new Chaos difficulty. New enemies called ragnalia appear in Chaos-tier quests, and Beelzebub and The World arrive as new skybound bosses. Six characters join the playable roster: Gallanza, Maglielle, Beatrix, Eustace, Fraux and Fediel. Cygames also sells character expansion sets for Fraux and Fediel with extra crewmate cards, upgrade materials and unique sigils, which are separate digital purchases. For returning fans, the new arc is the main reason to pick up the Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition.
Summons, Primal Burst and Master Traits
The biggest combat addition in the Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition is the summon system. Summons are earned through story progress and equipped before a quest; calling one in brings another character into the fight, and while a summon is active your captain is invincible. Summons also grant passive traits. Primal Burst comes after a full chain of Skybound Arts under specific conditions, when Lyria launches a follow-up summon attack. Master Traits add a new progression tree for characters you have already developed. Bosses get new tools too: EX Burst is a powerful attack, signalled when a boss glows with a purple aura.
Chaos difficulty and The Conflux
Chaos is the hardest quest tier in the Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition, and even its first tutorial quest uses it, so the expansion is clearly aimed at players who want a tougher endgame. The Conflux is a new solo-only mode built from rogue-lite zones: you clear each zone’s objective and then pick one of three temporary perks before moving on. It gives players who prefer to play alone a proper endgame that does not depend on finding a co-op group, while multiplayer players still have new quest tiers to work through.
Online co-op and existing saves
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is built around a four-character party, and the Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition continues to offer online co-op alongside solo play with AI companions. On PS5, online multiplayer requires a PlayStation Plus membership. Cygames sells an Upgrade Kit for people who already own the original game, and notes that it carries saved data over on the same platform only; cross-platform upgrades are not supported. If you already own Relink on PS5, the digital Upgrade Kit is the cheaper route; the Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition is for players who want the full game on disc.
What is in the box
The Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition is the physical PS5 Standard Edition from the first production run. Cygames lists its contents as the base game, Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, with the Guts III and Autorevive III Sigil Set as the first-run bonus for physical copies. The digital Special Edition, which adds the Endless Ragnarok Special Pack and the Granblue Fantasy: Relink DLC Collection, is a different product and is not included here. Cygames’ edition page does not list supported languages, so check before buying if you need a specific language.
Who This Is Not For
The Endless Ragnarok Day One Edition is not the best choice if you already own Granblue Fantasy: Relink on PS5, since the digital Upgrade Kit costs less and keeps your save. Online co-op needs PS Plus on PS5. It does not include the Special Pack or the DLC Collection from the digital Special Edition. Arabic is not listed by Cygames, and the game expects you to read English or another supported language. The Chaos-tier content is demanding and assumes you will invest real time in character building.
