The Alliance Alive HD Remastered PS4 disc brings FURYU’s role-playing game, first released on Nintendo 3DS in 2018, to PS4 with renewed HD graphics. Published in the West by NIS America under licence from FURYU Corporation, it launched on PS4 in North America on 8 October 2019, according to the PlayStation Store. The genre is turn-based RPG: nine protagonists from realms divided by Daemons come together to start a revolution and reclaim their world. The remaster also adds an optimised interface, a Guidebook and new tutorials.

A World Divided by the Daemons
According to NIS America, one thousand years ago Daemons invaded the world of Humans and raised the Great Barrier to separate the realms. The Barrier disrupted the magnetic fields and the climate, and the blue sky disappeared behind permanent clouds. Then the Dark Current rushed across the world, carving it into separate regions, swallowing countless cities and leaving humanity decimated. Cut off from the sea and weakened, the survivors submitted to their Daemonic overlords. Centuries later, the Daemons rule a stratified world of administrative zones, each with its own culture and climate. The official description introduces nine protagonists who differ in race, gender and age, and whose stories intertwine as an unlikely fellowship forms. Their goal is to reclaim their home, free their people and spark a fiery revolution against the invaders.
Turn-Based Battles and Formations
Combat in The Alliance Alive is turn-based and tactical. The official PlayStation Store description says you can field up to five characters in the formation of your choice, fight monsters across the divided realms and increase the combat speed when you want battles to move faster. NIS America notes that characters gain new skills in the heat of battle, so your party grows stronger through fighting rather than menus alone. Exploration matters too: several vehicles let you travel across the realms split by the Dark Current. For the HD remaster, the publisher lists renewed HD graphics, an optimised user interface, a new Guidebook feature and new tutorials that help newcomers learn the systems. NIS America’s comparison trailer shows the jump from the original Nintendo 3DS visuals to the new HD version.
Single-Player Adventure
The Alliance Alive HD Remastered is a single-player RPG; the PlayStation Store lists 1 player, and there is no online or local multiplayer. Online features are limited to standard PlayStation account services. The PS4 version supports DUALSHOCK 4 vibration, and Remote Play is listed with a PS Vita system and a strong Wi-Fi connection. Story progress, battles and exploration all work offline, so you can play the full adventure without PlayStation Plus. This makes it a good fit for long solo sessions at your own pace, with nothing locked behind servers or subscriptions.
Retail Disc, Region and PS5
You receive a new, factory-sealed retail disc of The Alliance Alive HD Remastered for PS4. PS4 games are region-free, so the disc plays on any PS4 console. Most PS4 games also run on PS5 consoles with a disc drive through backward compatibility; check Sony’s official list before buying for PS5. Who This Is Not For
This is a remaster of a 2018 handheld game, so its world and character models are simpler than big PS4 RPGs, even with HD graphics. It is single-player only. Battles are turn-based, which may feel slow if you prefer action combat. The paper dolls, art book and soundtrack from the special Awakening and Limited Editions are not part of a standard retail disc.
