The NEBULA Capsule Air is a soda-can-sized projector with Google TV built in, and it is honest about what it is: 720p at 150 ANSI lumens is a dark-room brightness, not a living-room-in-daylight brightness. Every figure below comes from Anker’s own Nebula product pages and from the official Capsule Air user guide, with the conditions the maker attaches kept in place.

NEBULA Capsule Air: 720p at 150 ANSI Lumens, and What That Buys You
Resolution is 1280 x 720 in a 16:9 frame, and brightness is 150 ANSI lumens. ANSI is the honest measurement standard, so 150 ANSI here is not comparable to the inflated lumen figures unbranded projectors quote. It is also not a lot of light. The NEBULA Capsule Air is built for a dark or dimmed room, a tent at night, or a bedroom ceiling after sunset.
The official user guide lists a contrast ratio of 400:1. In a room with any ambient light, contrast is the first thing to collapse, which is why a blackout curtain does more for this projector’s picture than any setting in the menu.
Nebula does not publish the light-source type for the NEBULA Capsule Air in the specification list on its product page or in the user guide, and it does not publish a lamp-life hour figure either, so we are not quoting one.
Picture Size: 10 to 100 Inches at a 1:2 Throw Ratio
The user guide puts the projection size at 10 inches to 100 inches, with a throw ratio of 1:2 and a throw distance range of 0.3m to 2.7m. In practice, that means roughly 2 metres of distance for a large image, which most rooms can manage, and only 0.3m if you want a small picture on a nearby wall.
A 100-inch image at 150 ANSI lumens spreads that light very thin. If you want the picture to look punchy rather than merely large, the NEBULA Capsule Air rewards a smaller image and a darker room. Autofocus and automatic keystone correction, which Nebula groups under its Instant Display Correction feature, square the image up without you touching a menu, which is what makes it genuinely usable when you move it between rooms.
An optional snap-on base is sold separately for angle adjustment, including projecting onto a ceiling. Nebula states the base allows up to 90 degrees of adjustment.
Google TV Built In, With Officially Licensed Netflix
Google TV runs on the projector itself, with access to over 30,000 apps on Google Play according to Nebula. The detail that matters here is the officially licensed Netflix support: many portable projectors run Netflix only through a workaround or require an external stick, and licensed support is the difference between an app that works and one that will not play protected content.
Because the platform is on board, the NEBULA Capsule Air does not need a streaming stick occupying its single HDMI port. That port stays free for a console, a laptop or a set-top box.
Battery, Playtime and Power on the NEBULA Capsule Air
The built-in battery is 34Wh, and Nebula publishes up to 2 hours of playtime from it, stating that figure for ECO mode rather than for full brightness. Two hours covers most single films, but a long film at higher brightness will want the power adapter connected.
The user guide lists the power input as 20V at 2.25A, with power consumption under 37W in use and under 0.5W on standby. The guide does not publish the adapter’s AC input range, so if you plan to use the NEBULA Capsule Air abroad, check the printed label on the adapter itself rather than assuming.
Sound, Connections and What Is in the Box
Audio comes from a 5W speaker, which is respectable for something that weighs 650g but is still a 5W speaker. For a group watching outdoors, pair a Bluetooth speaker. Bluetooth is version 5.1 with a stated range of 25 metres.
Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi 5, listed as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Wi-Fi 6 is not supported. Physical connections are one HDMI port and one USB-C port, and the guide notes USB media support for FAT and FAT32 formatted drives. The remote takes two AAA batteries.
The official operating noise figure is under 28dB, which is quiet enough that the fan should not compete with dialogue at a normal volume.
Heat: The Specification UAE Buyers Should Read First
The official user guide gives an operating temperature range of 0 to 35 degrees Celsius for units outside Europe and the UK, where the range is 0 to 25 degrees. That upper limit is the single most important line on the NEBULA Capsule Air specification sheet for anyone in the UAE.
From roughly May to September, an unshaded balcony, a garden or a desert campsite can sit above 35 degrees well into the evening. Used outside its rated range, a compact projector with a sealed body and a small fan will throttle or shut down to protect itself. Indoors with air conditioning this is a non-issue. Outdoors in a UAE summer, plan for the cooler months or the late hours.
Who This Is Not For
Anyone wanting a 1080p or 4K picture should look at a larger projector. The NEBULA Capsule Air is 720p, and on a 100-inch image that resolution is visible, particularly on text and subtitles.
Anyone projecting into a lit room should also look elsewhere. At 150 ANSI lumens with a 400:1 contrast ratio, daylight washes the image out, and no amount of screen material fixes a brightness shortfall of that size.
It is also not for a big outdoor group, because a 5W speaker will not carry across a garden, and not for reliable UAE summer outdoor use, given the 35-degree upper operating limit. And if you need a second HDMI source or a wired network port, the NEBULA Capsule Air has neither.

FAQ
Is the NEBULA Capsule Air bright enough for a lit room?
No. 150 ANSI lumens with a 400:1 contrast ratio is a dark-room specification. Use it at night, in a dimmed room, or with blackout curtains.
What screen size does it project?
10 to 100 inches, at a 1:2 throw ratio and a throw distance of 0.3m to 2.7m. A smaller image looks noticeably brighter than a 100-inch one at this lumen rating.
Does Netflix work on the NEBULA Capsule Air?
Yes. Nebula states that Netflix is officially licensed on this model, so it runs natively through the built-in Google TV rather than needing an external streaming stick.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 2 hours from the 34Wh built-in battery, a figure Nebula states for ECO mode. At higher brightness expect less and keep the adapter handy.
Can I use it outdoors in the UAE summer?
No, not safely above 35 degrees Celsius. The official user guide rates the NEBULA Capsule Air for 0 to 35 degrees outside Europe and the UK, so plan summer use indoors or wait for the cooler months.
Does it have Wi-Fi 6?
No. The user guide lists Wi-Fi 5, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, plus Bluetooth 5.1.
How loud is the built-in speaker?
5W, which is fine for one or two people in a quiet room and not enough for a garden. Pair a Bluetooth speaker over Bluetooth 5.1 for a group.
What warranty and delivery apply?
1 year from Totot covering manufacturing defects, with a 14-day return window for a defective or non-conforming item and 48 hours to report shipping damage. Shipping is free from 300 AED, delivered in up to 3 business days.
