Two Men on Opposite Sides of WWI
The story begins on 11 November 1916. On that day, a young photographer named Harry leaves Canada for the Western Front, and a German technician named Kurt learns that his son is missing in action. Both men set out to keep their humanity and return alive to the people they love. Bandai Namco describes 11-11 as a story-driven war drama inspired by the First World War, following Kurt and Harry and their animal companions on opposite sides of the conflict. The PlayStation Store promises moments of both peace and despair. According to the publisher, the story reaches its climax at 11 o’clock on 11 November 1918, when the characters face a major decision. The title of the game comes from that date and time.
A Painted War Told Through Two Lives
11-11: Memories Retold is a narrative adventure rather than a shooter. The focus is on following two lives through the war and the choices they make, not on combat skill or reflexes. Its most striking feature is the art style: the PlayStation Store calls it a unique painterly style, and Bandai Namco also highlights the painted art style in its official description. Aardman Animation Studios worked with DigixArt to give the game its distinct visual identity. The performances carry much of the experience, with Elijah Wood as Harry and Sebastian Koch as Kurt, and the orchestral score by Olivier Deriviere supports the emotional tone. The game suits players who enjoy history, character drama and slower, reflective stories with meaningful moments.
Single-Player Story Experience
11-11: Memories Retold is a single-player game. The PlayStation Store lists it for 1 player with no online multiplayer, so PlayStation Plus is not needed. Remote Play and DUALSHOCK 4 vibration are supported. On PS4, the store lists voices in English, French and German, and on-screen text in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish and Spanish (Mexico). There is no co-op, no split-screen and no PS VR mode. The store also lists optional in-game purchases, and no online requirement is listed for the story.

Who This Is Not For
If you want a fast war shooter with intense combat, this is the wrong game: 11-11 is a slow, reflective narrative adventure. It is single-player only, with no multiplayer of any kind. Arabic is not among the listed languages. The painterly visual style is a deliberate choice that some players may find less sharp than realistic graphics. It is rated PEGI 12 for violence and bad language.
