The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Gray is Xiaomi’s flagship 11.2-inch tablet in the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, with the standard glass screen and the dark Gray metal finish. It is built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 3nm chip that Xiaomi says is up to 81% faster on the CPU than the Pad 7 Pro, and adds what the regular Pad 8 lacks: 67W HyperCharge, a 50MP rear camera, a 32MP front camera and a side fingerprint sensor. Totot has the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Gray in stock in the UAE as a new, sealed unit.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Gray: flagship speed in a 5.75 mm body
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is made on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process and uses Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU: two prime cores at 4.32GHz and six performance cores at 3.53GHz, with an Adreno 830 GPU running at 1100MHz. Against the Pad 7 Pro, Xiaomi’s labs report +81% CPU (Geekbench 6 multi-core), +103% GPU (1440p Aztec Ruins, Vulkan) and +66% in AnTuTu V11. In practical terms, that is laptop-class headroom for heavy games, 4K video edits and dozens of browser tabs.
The 256GB model pairs 8GB of LPDDR5X with UFS 4.1 storage, the same fast storage class as the 512GB model. All of it fits in a full-metal unibody 5.75 mm thick (lens excluded) and weighing 485 g in the standard glass version.

Cameras for scanning, filming and calls
This is where the Pro clearly separates from the Pad 8. The rear camera has a 50MP 1/2.76-inch sensor with 1.28µm pixels, an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF, and records 4K at up to 60fps. The front camera is 32MP (1/3.6-inch, f/2.2) and records 1080p at 30fps, which gives a sharper picture in video calls and lectures than the 8MP selfie camera on the standard Pad 8.
For students and office users that means cleaner document scans, readable whiteboard photos and better-lit meeting video. For creators it means you can shoot a quick 4K60 clip and edit it on the same device.
67W HyperCharge and battery life
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Gray has a 9200mAh typical (9000mAh rated) battery. Xiaomi’s internal tests give up to 18.38 hours of continuous video streaming and 13.93 hours of continuous online meetings, slightly more than the Pad 8. Charging runs at up to 67W with Xiaomi HyperCharge over USB-C (QC3+, PD3.0 and MI FC2.0 among the supported protocols). Xiaomi’s global specifications say the 67W adapter is sold separately and that box contents can differ by region, so do not count on a charger in the box.

Display, sound and security
The 11.2-inch 3.2K panel (3200 x 2136, 345 ppi, 3:2) refreshes at up to 144Hz, reaches 800 nits at peak per Xiaomi lab data and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, 12-bit colour and DCI-P3, with an 85.4% screen-to-body ratio. Quad speakers handle Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res and Hi-Res Wireless audio, and Bluetooth audio covers AAC, LDAC, LHDC 5.0, LC3 and Auracast. Unlike the Pad 8, the Pro unlocks with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as AI face unlock.
HyperOS 3 and accessories for the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Gray
Xiaomi HyperOS 3 brings an upgraded Workstation mode, 1:9 and vertical split-screen, a PC-level browser with over 40 keyboard shortcuts, WPS Office PC, Xiaomi HyperAI tools (AI Writing, AI Art, AI Translate Conversation, AI Calculator) and cross-ecosystem features such as acting as a wireless display for a MacBook. Xiaomi says AI features vary by region and language. Add the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro (17.5 g, buttonless, with haptic feedback) and the Xiaomi Pad 8 / 8 Pro Keyboard, both sold separately, to turn it into a full work setup.

Who This Is Not For
If you mainly stream and browse, the regular Pad 8 has the same screen size, resolution and peak brightness for less. This 8GB/256GB unit is the standard glass version; Xiaomi offers the Matte Glass Version only as 12GB + 512GB in Graphite Gray, so artists who want an anti-glare, paper-like surface should look there. Xiaomi’s global specifications list no power adapter in the box, the pen and keyboard cost extra, and the tablet is Wi-Fi only with no SIM slot. Xiaomi also notes that Wi-Fi 7 depends on region and network.
