The MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte M-Pencil Violet is the more personal-looking version of the same three-piece set: the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 2025 PaperMatte Edition in Violet with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd generation), and the HUAWEI Smart Keyboard. It is built for students, illustrators and anyone who sketches, revises and writes on the same device, from school notes to mood boards. This is the TDRA-approved UAE version.

MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte M-Pencil Violet: who the Violet suits
Violet is the softer of the two finishes Huawei offers for this tablet; the other is Space Gray. It is the choice for a student desk, a home studio or a family sofa rather than a boardroom, and it is easy to tell apart from siblings’ or colleagues’ devices. A lighter tone shows small scratches on the edges a little more than grey, so a sleeve or the keyboard cover helps if the tablet lives in a school bag. Inside, everything is identical to the Space Gray bundle, so pick the colour you will enjoy seeing every day.
Sketching and study notes on the MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte M-Pencil Violet
Huawei lists the MatePad 11.5 2025 (TXZ) as supported by the M-Pencil (3rd generation). The pen clips on magnetically, pairs and charges wirelessly there, and a double-tap switches between brush and eraser, handy when shading a sketch or correcting a maths step. Huawei quotes 10,000+ pressure levels on supported tablets with HarmonyOS 4 or later. Take Snippet lets you circle part of a lecture slide to keep it as an image, and Huawei says GoPaint works only partly on this model. For AI handwriting tools in HUAWEI Notes, Huawei asks for app version 12.4.3.215 or later, an internet connection, and supports Chinese and English only.
A matte MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte M-Pencil Violet screen for long study
The nano-etched PaperMatte glass has about 2% reflectivity in Huawei’s tests, against 4.8% to 5% for common LCD tablets, which keeps window glare off the screen at a study desk. The slight texture gives the nib some grip, closer to paper than glass. The 11.5-inch IPS LCD runs at 2456 x 1600 and up to 120 Hz. The SGS Low Visual Fatigue 2.0 and TUV Rheinland circular polarisation certificates apply to the PaperMatte Edition, and Huawei adds that the tablet is not a medical device. Take regular breaks on long sessions anyway.
From handwriting to typed homework
The Smart Keyboard turns the set into a small writing station for essays and presentations: 1.5 mm of key travel, 15 mm keycaps and more than 40 shortcut combinations in certain apps. It works in laptop form or in split form, where the keyboard sits apart from the tablet. It weighs about 435 g, and Huawei states it fits only the MatePad 11.5 2025. For lighter school days you can leave the keyboard at home and carry the 515 g tablet and pen alone.
Battery, sound and connectivity
The 10,100 mAh battery is rated by Huawei at up to 14 hours of local 1080p video at about 200 nits. Wired charging reaches 40 W with a HUAWEI SuperCharge charger, which Huawei notes is market-dependent in the box. Four speakers with HUAWEI Histen 9.0 make it a decent screen for films and online classes, while Bluetooth 5.2 supports LDAC for wireless headphones. Wi-Fi 6 at 2×2 MIMO, a 13 MP autofocus rear camera for scanning pages and an 8 MP front camera for video calls complete the set.
Who This Is Not For
The MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte M-Pencil Violet is not for Google Play apps: it runs HarmonyOS 4.3 with HUAWEI AppGallery, so check school or work apps first. It is Wi-Fi only, with no SIM and no GPS. Video recording tops out at 1080p. GoPaint works only partly on this model, and AI handwriting in HUAWEI Notes supports Chinese and English only. The keyboard fits only this tablet, and a violet finish shows edge scuffs a little more than grey.
