Read that again, because it is the number most listings drop. If you are buying the Tronsmart Halo 200 to sing, the figure that applies to you is 10 hours, not 18. Karaoke drives the microphone circuitry as well as the speakers and it is usually played louder, so the battery goes faster. Ten hours is still a long evening and it is not eighteen.

Both figures also assume the volume levels Tronsmart tested at. A 120W speaker run near maximum in an open courtyard will not reach either number, and nothing about that is unusual or a defect. It is physics, and every portable speaker on the market is measured the same way.

This speaker charges from AC mains at 100 to 240 volts, 50 or 60 Hz. It does not charge over USB-C.

In the UAE that is convenient in one way and limiting in another. Convenient because 220 to 240 volts at 50 Hz is exactly what comes out of the wall here, so the Tronsmart Halo 200 plugs straight in with no transformer and no adapter beyond the plug shape. Tronsmart rates this speaker IPX4. That is a specific thing and it is worth knowing exactly what it covers.

IPX4 means protection against splashing water from any direction. Rain, a drink knocked over on the table, spray from a pool someone is jumping into, condensation on a humid Dubai evening. All fine.

IPX4 does not mean you can submerge it, float it in a pool, leave it out in a storm, or hose it down. Speakers rated IPX7 survive immersion. This one is not one of those, and the difference is not marketing hair-splitting, it is the actual test standard.
