Classic, Modern or Dynamic controls
The control choice is what makes Street Fighter 6 PlayStation 5 friendlier than earlier entries. Classic is the traditional six-button layout with motion inputs, for players who already know their quarter-circles. Modern simplifies special moves so you can perform them with fewer inputs, which lets newcomers focus on spacing and timing instead of memorising commands. Dynamic goes further and chooses attacks for you based on the situation, which suits casual sessions with friends who have never played a fighting game.
Capcom describes the combat system as evolved for this generation, and the core of it is the Drive System: a single Drive Gauge that opens up several attacking and defensive options. Managing that gauge, knowing when to spend it and when to save it, is where much of the strategy at higher levels sits.
World Tour: a single-player story
World Tour is Capcom’s answer to players who want more than arcade ladders. You create your own fighter, explore Metro City and beyond, and meet Masters, the series’ legends, who take you under their wing and teach you their styles. It turns Street Fighter 6 PlayStation 5 into something you can enjoy offline for many hours without ever entering a ranked match.
Battle Hub, online play and commentary
Battle Hub is the online lobby of Street Fighter 6 PlayStation 5, where players gather, chat and play, with your World Tour avatar as your presence there. Online play supports up to 16 players in the hub and needs a PlayStation Plus subscription. Locally, two players can fight on one console.
Real Time Commentary adds a commentator who reacts live to what happens in the match, giving even a casual game at home the feel of a tournament broadcast. Capcom lists English and Japanese voices.

Who This Is Not For
This is the Standard Edition, so the Year 1 and Year 2 character passes are not included; fighters added after launch are bought separately on PlayStation Store. Online matches and the online side of Battle Hub need a PlayStation Plus subscription, and there is no Arabic voice acting. If you mainly want a long story game rather than one-on-one fights, World Tour helps, but the heart of Street Fighter 6 PlayStation 5 is still head-to-head competition.
