The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow is the most complete version of Samsung’s biggest foldable. It is the only Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra configuration with 16GB of memory, and it pairs that with 1TB of storage, so it is aimed at people who want one device to replace a phone and a small tablet for years. The Violet Shadow finish gives it a personal touch. Samsung fits the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, an 8-inch inner screen, a 200MP camera and a 5,000mAh typical battery. This unit is the TDRA-approved UAE version.

Violet Shadow for those who want the top model to look the part
Most flagship phones arrive in black, grey or silver. Violet Shadow is a deep, restrained purple that looks almost plum indoors and richer in sunlight, so the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow stands apart without looking flashy. It works with black or tan leather cases, with gold or silver jewellery and watches, and it makes a thoughtful gift for someone who already owns a dark-coloured phone. The darker tone also hides small marks better than Cream. As with any glossy dark finish, a clear or matte case keeps fingerprints off the back.
What 16GB of memory changes
Memory decides how many apps stay ready in the background. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow has 16GB, compared with 12GB on the 256GB and 512GB versions. On a foldable that is used with two or three apps open side by side on an 8-inch screen, the extra headroom in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow means fewer apps reloading when you switch back to them, and more room for Galaxy AI features that run on the device. If you multitask heavily, run demanding games or edit long videos on the phone, 16GB is the configuration Samsung reserves for the 1TB model only.
1TB for keeping everything on the phone
There is no memory card slot on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, so storage is fixed at purchase. With 1TB, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow can hold years of full-resolution 200MP photos, long 8K clips, offline films, large games and work files at the same time. Samsung UAE promises up to seven OS upgrades and security updates, so a phone bought today can stay in use for a long time; buying the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow once avoids running out of space halfway through that life.
An 8-inch workspace and a 200MP camera
The inner screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow is an 8.0-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X at 2504 × 2256 with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, according to Samsung. The 6.5-inch cover screen at 2520 × 1080 works as a normal phone when closed. On the back, Samsung lists a 200MP wide camera at f/1.7 with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide at f/1.9 and a 10MP telephoto at f/2.4 with 3x optical zoom, with 2x optical-quality zoom from the main sensor, up to 30x digital zoom and 8K video at 30fps.
Battery and charging
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow has a 5,000mAh typical battery (4,854mAh rated, two cells), and Samsung quotes up to 27 hours of video playback in lab conditions. Heavy multitasking and gaming on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow will use it faster. Wired charging reaches up to 67% in about 30 minutes with a 45W adapter (sold separately) and a 3A cable. Wireless charging runs at up to 20W, with Wireless PowerShare for earbuds and watches.
The rest, in brief
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, Android 17 with One UI 9, 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Armor FlexHinge, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, fold tested to 200,000 times. IP48. 215 g; 8.9 mm folded and 4.1 mm unfolded. No S Pen support.
Who This Is Not For
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB Violet Shadow is not for buyers who mainly message, browse and keep photos in the cloud; for them the 256GB model with 12GB of memory does the same job for much less. It is not for the beach or sandy places, since IP48 only protects against particles larger than 1 mm and Samsung does not recommend beach or pool use. At 215 g it is heavy for one-handed use. It does not support the S Pen, and the 45W adapter for the fastest charging is sold separately.
