Samsung 60W Power Adapter: Who It Is For
This adapter makes the most sense for owners of recent Galaxy flagships that support 60W charging, and for anyone who wants one charger that can also feed a Galaxy Tab or a Galaxy Book. Samsung lists compatibility with the Galaxy S26 series, the Galaxy S10 5G and later models, the Galaxy Z series, the Galaxy Tab S7+ and Galaxy Book laptops, as well as other USB-C devices.
Phones that support only 25W or 45W charging still work with the Samsung 60W Power Adapter; they simply draw the lower rate they support.
Output: PD 3.1 and PPS up to 60W
Samsung lists three output modes. Normal charging is 5V at 3A. Standard Power Delivery profiles (PDO) are 9V, 15V and 20V, each at 3A. PPS covers 5V to 20V at 3A, which lets a compatible phone fine-tune voltage during Super Fast Charging. The maximum combined figure is 60W.
Samsung’s UAE page lists the adapter for Super Fast Charging at up to 60W and says the Galaxy S26 Ultra reaches about 75% in roughly 30 minutes with it. Charging speed always depends on the phone model, battery level, temperature and the cable used.
You Need a 60W-Rated USB-C Cable
Because no cable comes in the box, the cable you pair with the Samsung 60W Power Adapter decides how fast it can charge. For 60W, use a USB-C to USB-C cable rated for 3A, such as the one that came with a recent Galaxy phone or a 5A Samsung cable. A cheap 2A cable will cap the speed well below 60W.
Safety and Standby Power
Samsung lists protection against overcurrent, short circuits and high temperature. Standby power consumption is under 5mW, so leaving the Samsung 60W Power Adapter plugged into the wall uses almost no electricity. Samsung also notes that the housing uses at least 3.5% post-consumer recycled plastic.

Samsung’s UAE page lists dimensions of 48.0 × 73.7 × 28.0 mm and a weight of 121.0 g. The unit in our photos has a three-pin UK-type plug, the standard wall socket in the UAE. The input range is 100–240V, so it also works on travel abroad with a plug adapter.
Samsung 60W Power Adapter or a Smaller Charger?
If your phone tops out at 25W, a 25W charger gives that phone the same top speed. The 60W model earns its place when you have a 60W-capable Galaxy phone, or when the same charger has to power a tablet or a Galaxy Book laptop during the day.
Who This Is Not For
Skip the Samsung 60W Power Adapter if you need to charge two devices at once; it has a single USB-C port. It is also not a complete kit: the cable is not included. It cannot charge older devices that only have a USB-A cable without an adapter, and power-hungry laptops that need more than 60W will charge slowly or only hold their level under load. iPhones work over USB-C PD, but they do not use Samsung’s Super Fast Charging, so they charge at their own maximum rate.
