The Anker Laptop Power Bank is Anker’s model A1695, sold as the Anker Laptop Power Bank (25K, 165W, Built-In and Retractable Cables). It is made for people who carry a USB-C laptop as well as a phone: 25,000mAh, up to 100W from each USB-C output, 165W in total, and two USB-C cables attached to the body so you never forget one. This is the black version, which Anker calls Space Black, the colour Anker lists on its US product page.

Table of Contents
Two cables built into the body
Most laptop power banks only work if you packed the right cable. The Anker Laptop Power Bank has two. Anker’s support guide lists the retractable cable (USB-C1) at 70 cm (27.6 in): pull it to the length you want and it locks, then a short tug sends it back inside. The fixed cable (USB-C2) is 30 cm (11.8 in) and folds into the body, also doubling as a carry loop. On top of the cables there is a separate USB-C port and a USB-A port, so a fourth device can join with your own cable: for example a laptop on the long cable, a phone on the short one, a tablet on the USB-C port and earbuds on USB-A.

100W per USB-C output, 165W in total
Each USB-C output is rated at up to 100W, enough for most USB-C laptops including MacBook Air and many 14-inch Windows machines. The USB-A port gives up to 33W. Anker’s split is clear: two USB-C devices can share up to 165W; one USB-C plus USB-A share up to 133W; three or four devices together are capped at 130W. Anker also notes that a single port delivers its full 100W only while the battery is above 25%. A 16-inch laptop that ships with a 140W charger still charges from 100W, just more slowly, and may hold level rather than gain charge under heavy load.

Capacity, flights and recharging
Anker rates the cell capacity at 25,000mAh, about 90Wh, and lists the usable output at roughly 63–70Wh depending on the device, cable and charging protocol. 90Wh sits under the 100Wh limit most airlines apply to carry-on power banks, and Anker labels the Anker Laptop Power Bank flight-approved; it always goes in hand luggage, and your airline’s own rules come first. Recharging runs at up to 100W from any USB-C port: about 20 minutes to 30%, and about 2 hours to full with a 100W or higher charger at 25°C. Peak input applies above 25% battery. Pass-through charging works with a charger of 20W or more, when input exceeds output.

The smart display and ActiveShield 2.0
The display on the front shows the remaining battery, power in and out, recharge time and port status, so you know how much is left before a long meeting. When temperature protection pauses recharging, it shows a No Recharging Mode notice instead of leaving you guessing. Anker’s ActiveShield 2.0 monitors temperature more than 3,000,000 times a day and adjusts power accordingly. The body measures 156.97 × 53.85 × 49.02 mm and weighs 595 g, about the same as a full 600 ml water bottle.

Why the black version
Black suits the kind of bag the Anker Laptop Power Bank lives in: a dark laptop sleeve, a work backpack or a camera bag. It hides scuffs from keys and zips better than a light shell, and after months of travel it still looks tidy on a meeting-room table. The glossy display window picks up fingerprints, so a dry cloth now and then keeps it clean. If you would rather match a silver MacBook, there is a silver version with the same specifications; otherwise black is the safe, low-maintenance choice for daily carry.

Who This Is Not For
The Anker Laptop Power Bank is not a pocket power bank: at 595 g and about 157 mm long it belongs in a bag. If you only charge a phone, a 10,000mAh pack is lighter and cheaper. It is not a full-speed charger for 140W laptops, since each USB-C output tops out at 100W, and three or four devices together share 130W. iPhone 14 and earlier need a USB-C to Lightning adapter, which is not included. Anker does not publish a water or dust rating, and the default box has no wall charger.
