The HyperX Pulsefire Fuse is a symmetrical wireless gaming mouse that runs on a single AAA battery and weighs 75g with that battery fitted. It connects over 2.4GHz wireless for games or Bluetooth for a laptop, uses a PixArt PAW3311 sensor that reaches 12,000 DPI, and has textured Microline grip panels on the sides. HyperX makes it in black only, model A1KY6AA.

HyperX Pulsefire Fuse: shape and weight
The shell is symmetrical, so it sits naturally under either hand, and HyperX lists it at 124.4mm long, 64mm wide and 39.7mm high. That is a medium size that suits palm and claw grips for most adult hands. The Microline panels are fine raised lines moulded into the sides that give the thumb and ring finger something to hold when your hands warm up in a long session.
HyperX quotes 75g with the AAA battery installed, and its spec table lists the mouse alone at 0.14 lb, roughly 64g. The battery therefore accounts for about 11g. HyperX measures the 75g figure with the included alkaline battery.
Battery life and the conditions behind 85 hours
HyperX rates the HyperX Pulsefire Fuse at up to 85 hours from one AAA battery. That figure comes from continuous use with the lighting off, in 2.4GHz mode at a 1000Hz polling rate, using the alkaline battery included in the box. Turn the RGB on and the number drops; HyperX does not publish a figure with lighting enabled or for Bluetooth mode.
The advantage of a replaceable battery is simple: when it runs out, swap in a spare and keep playing. There is no charging cable to dig out and no battery that wears down after a few years. The trade-off is that you will be buying AAA cells, or a set of rechargeable ones with a charger.
Sensor and click switches
The PixArt PAW3311 sensor tracks up to 12,000 DPI, with 300 IPS and 35G acceleration. Four presets ship out of the box, 400, 800, 1600 and 3200 DPI, and NGENUITY software lets you change them. The polling rate goes up to 1000Hz, which is the standard for most wireless gaming mice in this class.
The main buttons use Kailh switches rated for 20 million clicks, and the HyperX Pulsefire Fuse has six buttons in total. Onboard memory stores one profile, so your DPI and lighting settings follow the mouse to another computer.
Two wireless modes and console support
Plug the USB-A dongle into a PC or console for 2.4GHz wireless, the mode to use for games. Switch to Bluetooth when you want to keep the USB port free on a laptop or move between a desk and a sofa setup. HyperX lists compatibility with PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
HyperX says the per-LED RGB lighting can be customised in NGENUITY only in 2.4GHz mode. Bluetooth suits office work on a laptop, where battery life matters more than lighting effects.
Who This Is Not For
If you want a rechargeable mouse with USB-C charging, this is not it: the HyperX Pulsefire Fuse runs on AAA batteries. Players looking for 4000Hz or 8000Hz polling, or a flagship-level sensor, should look higher up the range; the PAW3311 and 1000Hz are mid-range figures. At 75g with a battery it is light, but not in the 50 to 60g ultralight class. And lighting can only be customised in 2.4GHz mode, not over Bluetooth.
