The Porodo Transparent Mouse is a wireless mouse with a see-through black shell that shows off the parts inside, lit by RGB lights. Porodo sells it as model PD-TMDM-BK. It connects in two ways, through a 2.4G wireless receiver or over Bluetooth, and it runs on a built-in 400mAh battery that you charge through a USB-C port, so you never buy batteries. Porodo lists three DPI levels (800, 1200 and 1600), a weight of 70 g, and support for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS.

Two ways to connect
The Porodo Transparent Mouse works in dual mode. The 2.4G connection uses a small wireless receiver and suits a desktop PC or a laptop where you want a steady link with nothing to pair. Bluetooth needs no receiver at all, which suits a MacBook or tablet with few ports, or an iPad and Android tablet set up as a work device. Having both lets one mouse serve the office desk and the travel bag. Porodo does not publish the wireless range, so treat it as a desk-distance mouse rather than one for controlling a TV across a room.
The transparent shell and RGB lights
The look is the reason most people pick the Porodo Transparent Mouse. The clear black housing lets you see the internal board and structure, and RGB lights glow through it, which fits a desk built around a visible, tech-forward style or a gaming-themed setup. Porodo also lists a magnetic cover. Being practical: a clear shell shows dust and fingerprints more than a matte solid finish, so a quick wipe with a soft, dry cloth now and then keeps it looking sharp. None of this changes how the mouse tracks.
Rechargeable 400mAh battery and USB-C
Inside is a 400mAh battery that charges through a USB-C port, the same cable most modern phones and laptops use. That means no AA cells to buy or swap and one cable for everything on your desk. Porodo does not publish a battery life figure for the Porodo Transparent Mouse, and RGB lighting naturally draws more power than a mouse with no lights, so expect to charge it more often with the lights on. A habit of plugging it in at the end of the week keeps it ready.
Adjustable DPI for work and play
DPI decides how far the cursor moves for each centimetre of hand movement. The Porodo Transparent Mouse offers 800, 1200 and 1600 DPI. 800 suits precise work such as photo editing or spreadsheets on a single laptop screen; 1600 moves the cursor faster across a large monitor or two screens side by side. For casual gaming 1200 is a comfortable middle setting. At 70 g and 113.5 × 58 × 25 mm, it is light and compact enough for a laptop bag, and it fits medium and smaller hands best.
Compatibility
Porodo lists support for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. On a Windows PC or Mac it works as a standard mouse with no driver to install. On an iPad or Android tablet, connecting over Bluetooth turns the tablet into a more practical work device for documents and email. The Porodo Transparent Mouse is a general everyday mouse rather than a dedicated gaming mouse: Porodo does not list a polling rate, programmable buttons or companion software, so competitive gamers will want a specialised model.
Who This Is Not For
The Porodo Transparent Mouse is not for competitive gamers who need high DPI, a published polling rate, programmable buttons or software: it tops out at 1600 DPI and Porodo lists none of those. People with large hands may find the 113.5 mm body small for long sessions. Porodo does not publish battery life or wireless range, and the clear shell shows dust and fingerprints more than a solid finish.
