Fernbus Coach Simulator PS5 is Aerosoft’s long-distance coach simulator, made in cooperation with FlixBus and brought to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 28 February 2023. You drive big intercity coaches on motorways and through city centres, collect passengers, check their tickets and try to keep to the timetable. Aerosoft describes a road network of more than 50,000 km at 1:10 scale linking over 100 European cities, and the box lists eight countries: Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, France, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.

What you do in Fernbus Coach Simulator PS5

This is a driving simulator, not a racing game. A typical trip starts at a bus station, where you open the luggage bay, check in passengers and sell tickets, then drive a scheduled route to the next city. On the way you deal with traffic, speed limits, junctions and weather, and at the other end you let everyone off and unload their bags. Aerosoft lists animated passengers, check-in and ticket sales as part of every route.

Dynamic weather with four seasons and full day and night driving change how each trip feels. A motorway run from Berlin to Paris at night in the rain is a very different job from a sunny afternoon hop between two German towns.

The coaches

Thanks to the FlixBus licence, the coaches wear the familiar green livery. Aerosoft names four vehicles: the MAN Lion’s Coach, the MAN Lion’s Intercity, the Neoplan Skyliner double-decker and the BB40. Each handles differently, and the long double-decker in particular needs care on tight city corners.

Modes and map content

Fernbus Coach Simulator PS5 has three ways to play: free mode for driving wherever you want, shuttle mode, and FlixBus mode for scheduled routes. Aerosoft’s console announcement says the PS5 version includes all the map DLCs that were available for the PC version at the time of launch, which is how the network reaches eight countries. Later map expansions, such as Poland, are sold separately on PlayStation Store.

Fernbus Coach Simulator PS5: language and controls

Aerosoft lists English as the language of the PS5 edition. There is no Arabic. Aerosoft does not publish a list of supported steering wheels for the console version on its product page, so if you plan to play with a wheel, treat a DualSense controller as the guaranteed option and a wheel as something to test yourself.

Who This Is Not For

Fernbus Coach Simulator PS5 is slow by design. Long motorway stretches, stopping at bus stations and checking tickets are the game, so players who want speed, crashes or missions with a story will get bored quickly. The map covers Central and Western Europe only, with no Gulf or Middle East routes. Aerosoft does not list multiplayer for the console version, and the game is in English only.
