The Magic Keyboard iPad Pro 11 White is Apple’s keyboard case for the 11-inch iPad Pro, introduced in 2024 and compatible with both the iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) and the newer iPad Pro 11-inch (M5). This version has a US English layout in white. Apple gives it a 14-key function row, backlit keys with a 1 mm scissor mechanism, a larger glass trackpad with haptic feedback, an aluminium palm rest and a USB-C connector on the hinge for pass-through charging. The floating cantilever hinge sets several viewing angles, and the case folds closed to protect the front and back of the iPad.

A full laptop-style keyboard
On the Magic Keyboard iPad Pro 11 White, Apple describes the keys as quiet and responsive, with a scissor mechanism and 1 mm of travel, the same feel MacBook owners already know. The keys are backlit, which helps on evening flights and in dim meeting rooms. Above the letters sits a 14-key function row with keys for screen brightness, volume and other shortcuts, so you no longer reach for the screen or Control Centre to change them. The US English layout puts the keys where most international keyboards have them, with a wide Return key and a long left Shift. Arabic can still be typed by switching the software keyboard language in iPadOS, though the keycaps show English letters only.
Haptic glass trackpad
The Magic Keyboard iPad Pro 11 White has a larger glass trackpad than the previous model, and it uses haptic feedback rather than a physical hinge, so a click feels the same anywhere on its surface. It supports Multi-Touch gestures and the iPadOS cursor: swipe with three fingers to switch apps, pinch to go home, and scroll documents with two fingers. With the trackpad and the function row together, you can work through a long document or a spreadsheet without lifting your hands to the display.
USB-C pass-through on the hinge
A USB-C connector on the hinge of the Magic Keyboard iPad Pro 11 White supports pass-through charging. Plug the charger into the hinge and the iPad charges through the keyboard, leaving the iPad’s own USB-C port free for an external drive, a display, a camera card reader or a microphone. For anyone who edits photos or video on the iPad or presents from it, this effectively gives the setup a second port. The keyboard itself needs no separate charging or Bluetooth pairing: it attaches magnetically and works as soon as the iPad is in place.
White: who it suits and how to keep it clean
The Magic Keyboard iPad Pro 11 White pairs best with a Silver iPad Pro and with light desks and offices, and the aluminium palm rest adds a cool, premium feel under the wrists. The outer cover is durable, but white shows marks from bags, ink and jeans sooner than black, and the palm rest can collect hand oils over a long day. A soft cloth slightly dampened with water cleans most marks. If your iPad travels daily in a busy bag, or if you prefer a lower-maintenance look, the black version has the same hardware and is the more forgiving colour.
Compatibility and requirements
Apple lists the Magic Keyboard iPad Pro 11 White as compatible with the iPad Pro 11-inch (M5) and iPad Pro 11-inch (M4), with iPadOS 17.4 or later. It does not fit earlier iPad Pro models with M1 or M2 chips, the iPad Air or the standard iPad, because the magnet layout and connector position changed with the M4 redesign. If you own the 13-inch iPad Pro, you need the 13-inch version of the keyboard instead.
Who This Is Not For
The Magic Keyboard iPad Pro 11 White is not for owners of earlier iPad Pro models (M1, M2 or older), the iPad Air or the standard iPad; it fits only the 11-inch iPad Pro with M4 or M5. The keycaps are US English only, with no Arabic letters printed. The white cover shows dirt sooner than black. Apple does not list the weight on its tech specs page, and the keyboard adds noticeable thickness and weight compared with the iPad alone.
