The Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 (model A83C3) turns one USB-C port on a laptop into a full desk setup: up to three external displays, up to 100W of charging back to the laptop, wired Gigabit Ethernet, card readers and a row of USB ports. Its party trick is a 6-in-1 hub that slides out of the dock, so the same ports you use at the desk come with you in a laptop bag. It is built for Windows 10/11 laptops and for Macs on macOS 13.5 or later, with an important limit on Mac that we explain below.

One Cable to the Laptop, Thirteen Ports on the Desk
According to Anker, the Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 gives you, across the dock and its hub: two HDMI outputs and one DisplayPort (each up to 4K@60Hz), a 10Gbps USB-C data port, a 5Gbps USB-C port, three USB-A ports (two at 480Mbps, one at 5Gbps), SD and microSD (TF) slots, a 1Gbps Ethernet port and a 3.5 mm audio in/out jack, plus up to 100W of charging for the laptop.
The two 480Mbps USB-A ports on the Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 run at USB 2.0 speed, which is right for a keyboard, mouse or receiver dongle but slow for external drives; plug drives into the 10Gbps USB-C port instead. Anker also notes that the downstream USB ports provide standard power for device operation but do not charge devices, so this is not a phone fast-charger.
The Removable 6-in-1 Hub
The removable hub carries HDMI (4K@60Hz), USB-C (5Gbps), USB-A (5Gbps), SD and microSD slots, and a USB-C PD-in port for power when you use it away from the desk. Take it out in the morning and you have a compact travel hub for a hotel TV, a presentation projector or a camera card; slide it back in the evening and it becomes part of the Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 again.
Anker says the dock keeps all its own functions active while the hub is removed, so pulling the hub out does not disconnect the monitors, Ethernet or keyboard that are plugged into the dock itself.
Three Screens on Windows, Mirroring on Mac
On Windows 10 and 11 the Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 can drive up to three external displays through its HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. Only those ports carry video; the USB-C and USB-A ports are for data and do not connect to USB-C monitors. Anker adds that dual 4K@60Hz output needs both the laptop and the monitors to support DSC (Display Stream Compression), and suggests checking Intel’s graphics control centre on Windows laptops for how many displays the laptop itself can run.
On macOS, Anker states that all external monitors mirror the same screen. A MacBook can use the Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 for charging, Ethernet, USB and card reading, and to show one image on external screens, but it will not extend the desktop across two or three separate monitors through this dock.
What Your Laptop Needs
The laptop’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery; a USB-C port that only carries data will not output video or accept charging. Anker lists Windows 10/11 and macOS 13.5 or later and states the dock is not compatible with Linux. The dock’s ports and its blue light strip switch on only once a laptop is connected through the upstream port.
The Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 runs from its own compact power adapter. Anker’s product graphics list a maximum input of 140W and up to 100W of charging for the laptop, which covers most thin-and-light notebooks.
Who This Is Not For
Mac users who want two or three separate extended monitors should look at a DisplayLink or Thunderbolt dock instead, because the Anker Nano Docking Station 13-in-1 mirrors all external screens on macOS. Linux laptops are not supported. Gaming laptops that draw more than 100W from their charger will not be fully powered by it, and laptops whose USB-C port lacks DP Alt Mode will get no video at all. If you only need one extra screen and a couple of USB ports, a simple USB-C hub costs far less.
