The A Plague Tale Innocence PS4 disc holds the story-driven adventure from French developer Asobo Studio, published by Focus Home Interactive on 14 May 2019. It is a third-person game that blends action and stealth, set in a plague-infested medieval France. You follow young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, two orphans hunted by soldiers of the Inquisition and surrounded by swarms of rats. It is a single-player experience built around tension, hiding and the bond between two children trying to survive.

Two Orphans in the Darkest Hours of History
Focus describes the game as the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo on a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. The setting is medieval France during the Great Plague, and the threat comes from two directions. Soldiers of the Inquisition are hunting the children, and supernatural swarms of rats, which emerged with the plague, cover whole streets and fields. At the start, Amicia and Hugo barely know each other. Over the course of the journey they learn to trust one another, and as they struggle against overwhelming odds they fight to find a purpose in a brutal, unforgiving world. Along the way they meet other orphans, including thieves and alchemists, who become allies. The story is dark, emotional and violent, which is reflected in its PEGI 18 rating.
Hide, Escape and Fight Back
A Plague Tale: Innocence is played in third person and mixes action and adventure sections with a strong focus on stealth. You control Amicia, who is not a trained fighter, so the official description talks about outsmarting enemies and environmental threats rather than overpowering them. You can either fight or bypass Inquisition soldiers using Amicia’s abilities. Hugo is a vital part of the partnership and can keep both of you safe at key moments. The orphans you meet, among them thieves and alchemists, teach Amicia new skills and give her new tools to hide, escape and even kill. Focus highlights crafting and alchemy as key systems, and the swarms of rats work as a living environmental hazard that changes how you move through each area. The pace rewards patience, planning and careful observation.
Single-Player Story and PS4 Features
The game is for 1 player only, with a story campaign and no online multiplayer or split-screen mode. The PlayStation listing confirms Remote Play support and Game Help support. Voice acting is available in English, French and German, with on-screen text in 12 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Korean and Chinese, according to the PlayStation listing. Arabic is not among the listed languages. There is no PS VR support. Because the whole campaign is offline, you do not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play it from start to finish, and the experience is built to be followed as one continuous story.
PAL R2 Disc, PS4 and PS5
This is a new, sealed PAL Region 2 physical disc for the Europe and Middle East market. PS4 games are not region-locked, so it plays on any PS4, PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro. Sony’s page states the PS4 version can be played on PS5, although some PS4 features may be absent; a PS5 with a disc drive is needed. Delivered across the UAE in up to 3 business days, free on orders from AED 300.
Who This Is Not For
If you want open-world freedom, multiplayer or heavy combat, this is not your game: it is a linear, single-player story with no online mode and no split-screen. Amicia is fragile, so many sections force slow stealth and trial and error. Rats appear in large numbers and the violence is graphic, earning PEGI 18. There is no Arabic language option on the official language list.
