The Mafia III PS4 disc is the third chapter of 2K’s Mafia crime saga, developed by Hangar 13 and released on PlayStation 4 in October 2016. It is an open-world action-adventure game set in 1968 in New Bordeaux, a reimagined version of New Orleans. You play as Lincoln Clay, an orphan and Vietnam veteran who sets out for revenge after the Italian Mafia wipes out the Black Mob, the only family he has. Along the way he builds a new criminal empire of his own, deciding which lieutenants to reward and which to betray.

Lincoln Clay and the Fight for New Bordeaux
Mafia III tells a revenge story rooted in one of the most turbulent years in American history. Lincoln Clay grew up as an orphan, served in Vietnam and came home to the Black Mob, the people he considers family. When the Italian Mafia betrays and destroys that family, Lincoln decides to tear down the organisation responsible, piece by piece. In a PlayStation Blog post, Hangar 13 studio lead Haden Blackman explained that the city, the year and the hero evolved together, and that the team wanted to explore organised crime, race in the American South in 1968 and Lincoln’s search for belonging. That search is what pushes him to form a new criminal family instead of simply walking away. The tone is serious and adult, with strong language and violence throughout, as the PEGI 18 rating reflects.
Brute Force, Gunfights or Stealth
New Bordeaux is a large open world run by the mob, filled with the sights and sounds of the late 1960s. 2K’s official description lets you take down the Mafia your own way: with brute force, in fierce gunfights, or by stalking and eliminating targets quietly. You drive period cars across the city, take on missions and hurt the mob’s operations as you work towards its leaders. As your influence grows, you hand out control of the territory you take to your lieutenants. Each choice to reward or betray one of them shapes your new criminal empire and the way the story unfolds. On PS4 Pro the game is listed as PS4 Pro Enhanced with dynamic 4K output, while a standard PS4 runs it normally. The DualShock 4 vibration feature is also supported, according to the PlayStation Store listing.
Single-Player Campaign and Extras
Mafia III is a single-player game. The PlayStation Store lists it for 1 player, and the UK store page does not list any online multiplayer mode. Your experience is the story campaign and the open world of New Bordeaux. Downloadable story expansions were released separately and are not on this base disc; they are sold digitally where still available. The game supports PlayStation trophies like all PS4 titles. Spoken dialogue is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, with on-screen text in more languages including Polish, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese, according to the PlayStation Store listing.

The PlayStation Store states that Mafia III is playable on PS5, though some PS4 features may be absent; you need a PS5 with a disc drive to use the disc. Delivered across the UAE in up to 3 business days, free on orders from AED 300.
Who This Is Not For
This is a single-player game with no multiplayer mode, so it does not suit players who want to team up with friends. It is rated PEGI 18 for violence, strong language, drugs and sexual content, which rules it out for children and younger teens. The disc holds the base game only, without the later story expansions, and the visuals date from 2016, so they look older than current open-world releases.
