Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Lilac Purple – Instant Camera Gift Set, Auto Exposure, Close-Up Mode

The Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Lilac Purple is Fujifilm’s INSTAX mini 12 in a soft lavender shade, supplied in the gift box whose panel lists a case, INSTAX mini film and an album. It is the colour for evenings out, such as dinners, sleepovers and indoor get-togethers, where the camera’s always-on flash and automatic exposure do the work for you.

Lilac Purple: A Soft Lavender

Lilac Purple is a muted lavender, gentler than a saturated purple. It pairs well with pink and white accessories, and it looks a little more grown-up than Blossom Pink while still reading as a fun, personal camera.

The camera ships inside the same pink, sticker-covered gift box used for every mini 12 colour, so the lilac body is the part that sets it apart.

A Night Out With the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Lilac Purple

Indoor evenings are the mini 12’s comfort zone. The flash fires on every shot and Fujifilm’s automatic flash control adjusts its output to the scene, so faces are lit in a dim restaurant without you deciding anything. The flash covers 0.3 to 2.2 m: seat everyone close, fill the frame, and avoid photographing someone across a long table.

After each flash, the camera needs up to 7 seconds to recharge on new batteries, so allow a short pause between shots. On long nights carry a spare pair of AA batteries; Fujifilm rates a new set at about ten packs of film.

Selfies With Friends

Twist the lens to Close-Up Mode, hold the camera at arm’s length and check the framing in the small mirror beside the lens. The mode works between 30 and 50 cm, which is right for two or three faces pressed together. Parallax correction shifts the viewfinder so what you frame is what prints, which helps when you pass the camera across the table for someone else’s close shot.

Every print from the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Lilac Purple is a physical keepsake: one for each friend, and one for the album in the box.

Contents of the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Lilac Purple

Fujifilm does not list this gift box’s contents on its website, and the number of film sheets is not published, so we do not state it. The contents panel on the box lists the INSTAX mini 12 camera, a protective case, INSTAX mini film and an INSTAX album; Fujifilm’s user’s guide adds that the camera ships with a strap and batteries for trial use.

Looking After a Lilac Finish

Lilac shows light scratches and dust less than Clay White, but more than a dark camera would. Keep it in the protective case inside a clutch or handbag, where keys and lipstick can mark the body, and clean it with a dry cloth. Do not leave the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Lilac Purple or spare film in a hot car between plans; Fujifilm’s guide advises keeping both away from high temperatures.

Who This Is Not For

Anyone who mostly shoots bright daylight landscapes, where a small flash-lit print adds little over a phone photo.

Anyone who wants creative control: there is no manual exposure, no flash-off mode and no double exposure.

And anyone expecting the picture to appear at once: the print ejects in about 5 seconds but takes about 90 seconds to develop fully.
