Gimbal and vertical shooting
The 3-axis mechanical gimbal on the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo has a roll range that lets the camera turn to portrait orientation, so vertical video for reels and stories uses the full sensor rather than a crop. DJI lists the mechanical range as tilt -135 to 80 degrees, roll -230 to 95 degrees and pan -25 to 25 degrees, with an operable tilt range of -90 to 55 degrees. Obstacle sensing day and night
The DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo drone uses an omnidirectional dual-vision system, a forward LiDAR and a downward infrared sensor. DJI rates the forward LiDAR for night use at 0.5 to 25 m on surfaces with more than 10% reflectivity, and forward vision measures from 0.5 to 18 m. That is why DJI calls it nightscape omnidirectional sensing. Sensing still has limits: thin wires, glass and very dark surfaces are hard for any system to detect, so keep a margin when flying near buildings and trees.
Flight time, batteries and charging
The standard Intelligent Flight Battery holds 2,788 mAh (19.52 Wh). DJI’s maximum flight time is 36 minutes, measured with no wind at sea level at a steady 21.6 km/h with obstacle avoidance set to Brake. Its more realistic standard test, with wind, 4K/60fps recording, a climb to 120 m and fast flight, gives 21 minutes. With three batteries in the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo, that is roughly an hour of real flying. With a DJI 65 W charger, the 2-way hub charges one battery in about 46 minutes and all three in about 115 minutes at 25 degrees C; the charger is not part of this bundle.
DJI RC 2 and transmission
The DJI RC 2 in the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen at 700 nits and runs the DJI Fly app built in, with customisable C1, C2 buttons and dial. Video reaches it through DJI O4+ transmission with a 1080p live view. DJI lists a maximum one-way range of 20 km under FCC rules and 10 km under CE, measured in open air with no interference; real range in a city is much shorter, and UAE rules require keeping the drone within visual line of sight.
