The colour LCD controls the upper and lower baskets independently. Press SYNC and each basket can use its own mode, temperature and time, with the fryer timing them so both finish together. There are 14 preset modes, including fries, steak, vegetables, chicken drumsticks, cake, pizza, fish, dried fruit and reheat, plus a drying mode. Five dual-layer presets pair a main and a side: chicken breast with potatoes, chicken leg with broccoli, salmon with asparagus, steak with asparagus, and boneless pork chops with Brussels sprouts. A flip reminder uses a light and a sound to tell you when to turn food, and Keep Warm switches on automatically for 30 minutes when a scheduled cook ends.
Xiaomi Home app and scheduling
The Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 12L connects to the Xiaomi Home app, which Xiaomi says holds 100 popular recipes sorted by category. You can also set 24-hour scheduling so cooking starts at a chosen time, for example to have food ready when you get home.
