Venus Vacation PRISM PS5 is the PlayStation 5 disc of Venus Vacation PRISM – DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme -, published by Koei Tecmo Games and presented by the publisher as the first full romance game in the DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme series. It is a choice-driven relationship adventure in which you manage the Venus Islands and get to know six characters through conversation, advice and planned outings. This boxed copy carries a PEGI 18 label and plays as the native PS5 version straight from the disc.

What Kind of Game Is Venus Vacation PRISM PS5?
This is not a sports or volleyball game like earlier entries in the Xtreme line. Koei Tecmo describes it as an immersive romance adventure. You take the role of the owner of the Venus Islands, a resort where summer never ends, and the gameplay is built around dialogue, choices and the relationships that grow from them. The official English site lists conversations, advice, dates and a photo mode as the main activities, plus segments where you work as the island’s owner while preparing a festival.
It is closer to a visual novel with light management elements than to an action title, and the pace is relaxed.
Six Characters and Branching Stories
The cast comes from DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation: Misaki, Honoka, Tamaki, Fiona, Nanami and Elise. Each one has her own personality and storyline. The PlayStation Store explains that your story with each character changes depending on the choices you make, and the official site confirms multiple endings. Repeated interactions can unlock outings, and during these you can take photos and keep a favourite as a keepsake.
Because the routes branch, a second or third playthrough can show scenes and endings you did not see the first time.
Why the Native Venus Vacation PRISM PS5 Disc
Buying the PS5 disc means the game installs as the PS5 version from the start, with no upgrade step and no need to keep a PS4 disc around for verification. Koei Tecmo and PlayStation do not publish resolution, frame rate or loading time comparisons between the PS4 and PS5 versions, so we will not promise performance gains that the publisher does not state. What PlayStation does list for this title is the same set of six accessibility options on both systems: volume controls, basic subtitles, adjustable stick sensitivity, adjustable stick inversion, play without touch controls and tutorial reminders.
Pick this edition if your main console is a PS5 with a disc drive and you have no plans to play on a PS4.
Language Support on Venus Vacation PRISM PS5
Koei Tecmo’s English site and the PlayStation Store in Asia list on-screen text in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, with Japanese voices only. The publisher’s European site does not list the game, and Koei Tecmo has not published a separate language list for a European boxed release. In short, English text is confirmed for the editions that Koei Tecmo documents officially, and the voice acting is in Japanese with subtitles.
Editions and Bonus Content
The physical Venus Vacation PRISM PS5 release is the Standard version containing the main game. The Digital Deluxe content, which includes six outfits designed by illustrator Yom, a collaboration episode with an early-unlock Time-Stopping Hourglass and six photo frames, is sold digitally, either as the Digital Deluxe Edition or as an upgrade pack. Early purchase and pre-order bonuses had set deadlines in 2025 and are not part of a disc bought today.
Who This Is Not For
Venus Vacation PRISM PS5 is rated for adults, so it is not suitable for anyone under 18. It does not offer English voice acting, only Japanese audio with subtitles. If you expect action, sports or competitive play, this is a dialogue-led relationship sim for one player with no online mode. Players who need Arabic, French or German text should note that the official language list covers English and East Asian languages only. The disc also needs a PS5 that can read discs.
