Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 – Korean War Campaign with Captain Price, 12 Launch 6v6 Maps, DMZ Extraction, PS5 Pro Enhanced, Physical Disc

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 is the physical PlayStation 5 disc of the newest Call of Duty from Activision and lead studio Infinity Ward, released worldwide on October 23, 2026. The story drops you into a full-scale North Korean invasion of the Korean Peninsula, and the package bundles three pillars in one box: a cinematic campaign, a rebuilt multiplayer suite and the DMZ extraction mode. This is the Standard Edition on disc, and Activision states that the physical edition includes the full base game.

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 Campaign: War on the Korean Peninsula

Activision describes the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 campaign as darker and more dangerous than earlier entries. War breaks out when North Korea launches a full invasion of the South, and the plot follows two very different soldiers. Private Park is a young South Korean conscript whose first taste of live combat comes when a routine patrol collapses into chaos. Captain Price, the long-running series veteran, now works outside the system he once served as an operator-turned-outlaw, chasing revenge and a weapon that could tip the balance of power. Missions move from trench warfare in Korea to close-quarters fighting in New York, a chase through Paris, SAS night raids in Mumbai and large assaults to retake occupied cities, mixing covert work with combined-arms battles and scripted set pieces.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 Multiplayer and Ballistic Authority

For Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 players, Infinity Ward rebuilt the gunplay under a system it calls Ballistic Authority. Bloom is removed, recoil, convergence and weapon handling are reworked, and depth of field and visual effects are tuned so enemies are easier to read. Movement gains expanded mantling, climbing, hanging and jumping. At launch there are 12 core 6v6 maps, each with its own custom infil, plus Gunfight maps and several Big War maps that mix vehicles and infantry. Kill Block is a modular training facility, the Westbridge Training Facility, with more than 500 layouts and support for 3v3 and 10v10 formats.

Progression in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 is also new. A redesigned Create-a-Class ties Operators, weapons, Equipment and Killstreaks together, Gunsmith attachments are shared across a weapon class, and an assistant called Gunny can build close, mid or long-range loadouts for you. Fully levelling a weapon unlocks Apex Attachments that change how it behaves, and Prestige now has two paths: Classic Prestige resets Create-a-Class progress in return for higher XP rates, while regular Prestige restarts from Level 1 without that reset.

DMZ Extraction in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5

DMZ returns in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 as an extraction mode where you deploy solo or with a squad as an off-the-books asset sent to recover military technology. The exclusion zone has changing weather, dynamic objectives and hostile forces, so no two runs play out the same way. Activision also says Warzone will integrate Modern Warfare 4 content and seasonal progression as part of a connected experience from Season 1.

What the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 Version Adds

The official PlayStation Store listing for the UAE marks Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 as PS5 Pro Enhanced, lists vibration and trigger effects on the DualSense wireless controller, and confirms Remote Play support. Activision support lists split-screen on PS5. The PlayStation listing gives 1 player offline and up to 60 online players with PS Plus. Modern Warfare 4 is the first Call of Duty in years that skips last generation entirely: Activision states plainly that it is not available on PS4 or Xbox One, so this disc is built for PS5 hardware only. Activision does not publish an install size for PS5, and it notes that extra storage may be needed for mandatory updates.

Disc vs Digital: Which Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 Edition Is This?

Activision offers a Digital Standard Edition, a digital-only Vault Edition and a Physical Standard Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X. This Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 product is the physical Standard disc. According to the official edition guide, the Vault Edition is not sold on disc, and a physical copy cannot be upgraded to Vault later. The Hunter Killer Operator Skin and the serialized camo bonuses are listed for digital pre-orders, so do not count on them with a disc. What you do get is a disc you can lend, trade or keep on the shelf, with the full base game included.

Who This Is Not For

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 is a violent military shooter rated MRO 18 on the UAE PlayStation Store and ESRB Mature 17+ in the US, with blood and gore, intense violence, strong language and drug use, so it is not suitable for children. It does not run on PS4. Online multiplayer needs a PS Plus subscription, and Activision states that Multiplayer, Private Matches and DMZ require a constant internet connection because of texture streaming, so players without a stable connection will only enjoy the campaign. An Activision account is required. Digital pre-order extras such as the Hunter Killer skin and the Vault content are not part of this disc. Activision does not publish the language list for this disc edition, and Arabic is not confirmed.
