Each clean cut through an enemy has weight in your hands, and a sword clash with a boss, where you answer its Ruinous Inferno attack with Setsuna and fight for the upper hand, is the moment the rumble earns its place.

Boss fights are called Decisive Battles. Midway through, a boss escalates, opening with Ruinous Inferno, and you choose whether to escape or stand and risk it. Recruiting the guardian Astrals fills a constellation gauge with each Setsuna; when it is full Shiroha’s weapon changes form, her attack rises and she gains air jumps. Later stages unlock an even stronger form, and Steam’s official listing counts more than 35 action stages, 13 boss fights and seven fighting forms.
Between battles, a merchant sells charms, scrolls that teach secret arts, and healing food. Optional sub-episodes reveal the past of Shiroha’s companions. The full Japanese voice cast includes Miyu Tomita as Shiroha, Kenji Hamada as Shiori and Masako Nozawa as the storyteller.
Who This Is Not For
Skip Majogami PS5 if you want co-op or versus play: it is a 1-player game only. The rating is CERO B, with sexual content and violence listed as descriptors, so check that it suits younger players. Voice acting is Japanese only.
