The correction: the Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2 does not need a scooter
Our previous page described the Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2 as a kart frame that a Ninebot self-balancing scooter slots into and powers. That is how Segway’s older Gokart Kit works. The Pro 2 is different. Segway lists a built-in 432 Wh battery at 54 V and two motors in the kart itself, so it is a complete vehicle that you charge and drive on its own.
We found the error while checking every figure against Segway’s official page and have rewritten the page in English and Arabic. If you bought the Pro 2 expecting to need a scooter, you do not.
Speed, power and range of the Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2
Segway gives a top speed of about 43 km/h, which is 26.7 mph. The kart has two motors rated 450 W each, with a peak of 2,400 W each, and Segway lists maximum acceleration at 1.02 G.
Range is about 25 km. Segway’s condition: full power, a 75 kg rider, 25 degrees Celsius, an average of 60 percent of maximum speed on pavement. In the UAE summer, with heavier riders or with lots of hard acceleration and drifting, expect less.
Charging takes about 4 hours, according to Segway.
There are 4 driving modes. Segway lists gear speeds of about 20 km/h, 33 km/h and 43 km/h, and a manual mode where you change gear yourself with paddle shifters on the wheel.
Drifting on the Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2
The Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2 is built to drift. It has a TPE drifting rear tyre, quick-detach tyres, and a mechanical handbrake alongside the electronic brake. Segway describes a Drifting Assistant System that lets you pre-program the drifting experience for your style or the surface you are driving on.
Segway also describes an attachable engine speaker with 4 sound experiences, so the kart can make an engine sound as you drive. Segway’s page does not state whether the speaker is included with every kart, so message us and we will confirm what is in our boxes.
Size, weight, age and rider fit
The chassis is adjustable. Segway says it fits riders from 130 to 190 cm tall, and the recommended age is 8 and over. Maximum payload is about 100 kg.
Extended, the kart measures about 1420 x 852 x 600 mm. Compact, it measures about 1040 x 852 x 459 mm. It weighs about 48.1 kg, so plan for two people to lift it into a car.
Segway rates the Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2 IPX4, which means protection against splashing water. It is not for driving through puddles or washing with a hose.

The Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2 is not a road vehicle. Do not drive it on public roads, pavements or cycle paths. It needs a private compound, a large villa driveway, a karting track or a permitted recreational area.
At up to 43 km/h, sitting low to the ground, a helmet is essential, and gloves and closed shoes are sensible. For a child of 8, start in the lowest speed setting in an open space and supervise every session.
The UAE summer matters too. Segway’s range figure is measured at 25 degrees Celsius. On a 45 degree afternoon, drive in the early morning or evening, keep sessions short, and let the battery cool before charging.
Who the Segway Ninebot Gokart Pro 2 is for, and who should not buy it
It suits families with a villa, a farm or access to a private compound, teenagers and adults who want real karting and drifting at home, and parents looking for a machine that fits a child now and an adult later thanks to the adjustable chassis.
Who it is not for: anyone who lives in an apartment with no private space to drive, because it cannot legally go on roads or pavements. Riders over 100 kg or taller than 190 cm, which is outside Segway’s limits. Children under 8. And anyone who wants to use it in the rain or on wet ground, given the IPX4 rating.
