The Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K is the original laser home projector from Nebula by Anker, model D2350, with true 3840 × 2160 output, a laser light source rated by Nebula at 2200 ANSI lumens and Android TV 10.0 on an included 4K streaming dongle. It is not the newer Cosmos 4K SE: this is the earlier model with the carry handle, autofocus, automatic keystone and screen fit, Chromecast and Google Assistant. It suits living rooms and bedrooms where you want a 60 to 150-inch picture and a projector you can move between rooms.

Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K picture: laser light and true 4K
Nebula and Anker rate the Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K at 2200 ANSI lumens, and Anker’s spec sheet lists a 0.47-inch DLP chip with 3840 × 2160 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The light source is a laser (ALPD 3.0 in Anker’s user manual) with an expected life of about 25,000 hours, so there is no lamp to replace in normal use. Anker Japan lists HDR10 support. Anker gives the contrast as 1000:1 on its spec table and 1,500,000:1 as a dynamic figure in the manual, so treat the higher number as a dynamic measurement.
The throw ratio is 1.27:1 and the image size runs from 60 to 150 inches. Anker’s manual gives about 1.68 m of distance for a 60-inch picture and 4.22 m for 150 inches; by our calculation from the throw ratio, a 100-inch picture needs roughly 2.8 m. Laser light holds its brightness better than LED in a room with some lamps on, but a darker room still gives the best contrast.

Setup without a tape measure
The Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K focuses itself and corrects the image shape automatically: Anker lists autofocus, automatic vertical and horizontal keystone correction, and automatic screen fit, with manual focus and keystone still available in the menu. Nebula calls the system Intelligent Environment Adaptation (IEA): the projector reads the room and builds a picture that fits the screen or wall in front of it.
In practice this means you can place it on a shelf, a side table or the floor at an angle, and it adjusts. The built-in carry handle makes it easy to take from the living room to the bedroom or a garden wall at night. There is no internal battery, so it always needs mains power.
Android TV 10, Chromecast and Google Assistant
Smart features run on the Nebula 4K Streaming Dongle, which sits in a compartment at the back of the projector. Anker lists Android TV 10.0 on a T962X2 chip with a quad-core Mali G31 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage; Nebula says this gives access to more than 7,000 apps. Anker Japan confirms Chromecast support for casting from a phone and Google Assistant through the remote.
The Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K remote, described in Anker’s manual, has a Google Assistant button plus quick-launch keys for YouTube, Prime Video, Netflix and Disney+, and pairs over Bluetooth. Wi-Fi is dual-band 2.4 and 5GHz (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), and Bluetooth 5.0 is listed with a range of up to 25 m. Android TV 10 is an older version, so newer apps may not always support it.

Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K sound and connections
Audio comes from two 10W speakers and two 5W tweeters, 30W in total, according to Nebula and Anker. Anker Japan lists Dolby Digital Plus support. For a bigger sound, the HDMI 2.0 input supports ARC, and a 3.5 mm AUX output sends audio to external speakers; using AUX turns off the built-in speakers, as Anker’s FAQ notes.
Connections on the rear panel are HDMI (up to 4K input), USB-A for a USB drive, 3.5 mm AUX and the dongle compartment. A games console, Blu-ray player or laptop connects through HDMI.

Power, noise and size
Anker’s manual gives the power input as 100–240V, 50/60Hz, 2.5A with consumption under 200W and under 0.5W on standby, so it runs on UAE mains voltage. Nebula does not state the plug type for each market, and the box contains a power cable. Fan noise is listed as 28 dB in the manual and below 30 dB on Anker’s spec table. The Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K measures about 263 × 165 × 265 mm and weighs about 4.9 kg. Operating temperature is 0–35°C, with 5–25°C recommended.
Who This Is Not For
Skip it if you need a battery projector for camping, since it has no battery. It is a standard-throw model, not short-throw: a 100-inch picture needs roughly 2.8 m of space between lens and wall. It runs Android TV 10 on a dongle rather than the newer Google TV of the Cosmos 4K SE, so some newer apps may not be supported. At 4.9 kg it is portable around the house, not for carrying in a backpack. Buyers who want Dolby Vision should look at newer models, as Nebula does not list it for this one.
