A-Day and the Reassemble Campaign
The story opens on A-Day, when the Avengers unveil a new headquarters in San Francisco and celebrate with the public. The event ends in a deadly accident that destroys much of the city and leaves many people with new Inhuman powers. The Avengers are blamed and disband. Five years later, the company Advanced Idea Mechanics, known as AIM, presents itself as the protector of the people, but its motives are darker. Kamala Khan, a teenage Avengers fan who gained powers on A-Day, uncovers the truth and sets out to bring the heroes back together. The Reassemble Campaign lets you play as each member as the team reunites. Crystal Dynamics describes it as an original cinematic story, separate from the Marvel films, with a light and heroic tone.
Play as Marvel’s Mightiest Heroes
Marvel’s Avengers is a third-person action game where each hero has their own fighting style. Hulk smashes through enemies, Iron Man and Thor fight from the air, Captain America uses his shield, Black Widow relies on speed and gadgets, and Ms. Marvel stretches her body to hit at range. The official roster lists 12 playable heroes, including Spider-Man, Black Panther, Hawkeye (Clint Barton and Kate Bishop), The Mighty Thor (Jane Foster) and Winter Soldier. You upgrade each hero with skills and gear as you progress. After the campaign, War Zone missions send you into open areas to fight AIM forces, and you can bring an AI team or real players. Skill trees let you shape each hero into a damage dealer, support or brawler.
Solo Campaign and Online Co-op
Sony’s page lists single-player and online co-op for up to four players. Crystal Dynamics ended new content with Update 2.8 on 31 March 2023, and digital sales stopped on 30 September 2023. The studio confirmed that all content available for solo play continues to be available after that date, and that multiplayer remains accessible, still requiring PlayStation Plus on PS4. The in-game Marketplace was turned off and its cosmetics, plus Challenge Card and Shipment cosmetics, became free for all players from 31 March 2023.
Retail Disc and PS5 Upgrade
This is a new, sealed physical retail disc of the Marvel’s Avengers Deluxe Edition for PS4. PS4 games are region-free, so it plays on any PS4 in the UAE. Sony states PS4 disc owners could get the PS5 version by inserting the disc into a PS5 with a disc drive; this offer does not work on the PS5 Digital Edition. Covered by a 1-year warranty from Totot. Delivered across the UAE in up to 3 business days, free on orders from AED 300.
Who This Is Not For
Players who want new content or a growing live game: development ended in March 2023 and the game was removed from digital sale in September 2023. Deluxe Edition bonuses such as 72-hour early access and the Marvel Unlimited trial were launch offers and may no longer be redeemable. Online co-op needs PlayStation Plus, and there is no local split-screen. Players who want a story set in the Marvel films should look elsewhere.
