The Logitech G ASTRO A30 LIGHTSPEED is a wireless headset designed to go wherever you play: 2.4 GHz LIGHTSPEED for the console or PC, Bluetooth for your phone and a 3.5 mm cable for everything else, with the audio from several sources mixed together. This is the Astro A30 Navy in the PlayStation version, a deep navy shell with red accents whose included LIGHTSPEED transmitter is made for PS5 and PC/Mac. Logitech sells the Astro A30 in navy and white only, and the Astro A30 Navy is the darker of the two.

Astro A30 Navy: the PlayStation version
Logitech sells the A30 in two platform versions, and the difference is the LIGHTSPEED transmitter in the box. In Logitech’s words, A30 for PlayStation is compatible with PlayStation 5 and PC/Mac, and A30 for Xbox is compatible with Xbox Series X|S and PC/Mac. This Astro A30 Navy is the PlayStation version, so it connects wirelessly to a PS5 and to a Windows PC or Mac through its transmitter; for LIGHTSPEED play on an Xbox, Logitech sells the separate A30 for Xbox.
Logitech also offers additional transmitters for a LIGHTSPEED connection to a second console or to USB-C devices, and the transmitter’s light shows which mode it is in: blue for PlayStation and white for PC, according to the setup guide.
Three connections and audio mixing
Alongside LIGHTSPEED, the Astro A30 Navy pairs over Bluetooth with a phone or tablet: hold the Bluetooth button for three seconds and the LED flashes blue for pairing. The included 1.5 m 3.5 mm cable covers any device with a headset jack, and the setup guide notes that the 3.5 mm port works even when the headset is switched off or the battery is empty.
The key feature is that these sources can play at the same time. You can hear a PS5 match over LIGHTSPEED while a Discord call runs on your phone over Bluetooth, and balance the two independently. Logitech lists Nintendo Switch, mobile devices and more among the platforms the A30 can play with through these connections.
Controls on the earcup
A joystick on the Astro A30 Navy earcup does most of the work: up and down changes the volume, left and right shifts the balance between game and voice. For calls, a press answers or ends and a hold rejects; for music, a press plays or pauses, a double press skips forward and a triple press goes back. A mute switch cuts the microphone with a tone and a red LED so you know you are muted.
The Logitech G mobile app for iOS and Android adds control over the audio mix and EQ from your phone.
Sound and microphones
The Astro A30 Navy uses 40 mm moving-coil dynamic drivers in a closed-back design. Logitech lists a 20–20,000 Hz frequency response, 32 ohm impedance, 105 dB SPL/mW sensitivity at 1 kHz and under 1% total harmonic distortion.
There are two microphones. The detachable boom mic is the default for chat; take it off and the Astro A30 Navy switches to its integrated mic, so you can wear it outside as a plain pair of headphones and still take a call.
Battery, comfort and the navy look
Logitech rates the Astro A30 Navy battery at more than 27 hours and does not publish the conditions behind the figure, such as volume or which connections are active. Charging is by USB-C; the battery LED stays white above 20%, turns red between 10% and 20%, and blinks red with a tone every three minutes below 10%.
On the Astro A30 Navy, memory foam earpads and headband keep the weight comfortable, and a swivel mount lets the earcups fold into the included case. The navy finish with red details is darker and more understated than the white A30, so it suits commuting and travel as well as a desk, and it does not show wear quickly. The transparent speaker tags come off and can be swapped for custom designs.
Who This Is Not For
Xbox players. The LIGHTSPEED transmitter in this PlayStation version does not cover Xbox; choose the A30 for Xbox instead.
It is also not for anyone who needs Dolby Atmos listed as a feature or a published weight: Logitech’s A30 page lists neither, and the 27+ hour battery figure comes without stated test conditions. If you only play on one PC and never use a phone at the same time, a simpler single-connection headset costs less.
