The JBL Tune 720BT White is the light, clean-looking member of the Tune 720BT family, and it makes most sense for travel. It weighs 220 g, folds to fit a bag, and JBL rates the battery at up to 76 hours, so a week away from home rarely means hunting for a socket. Inside it is identical to the other colours: 40 mm drivers with JBL Pure Bass tuning, Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint, and a detachable audio cable for wired listening.

A white finish that looks fresh
The JBL Tune 720BT White is finished in an off-white tone across the headband and earcups, with the JBL logo standing out on the side. It pairs naturally with white phones, light laptops and summer clothing, and it looks neat in photos and on video calls. White is honest about use, though: makeup, hair products and dark bag linings can leave marks on the cushions and headband. Wiping it with a dry or slightly damp cloth once a week keeps it looking new, and storing it in a soft pouch avoids most transfer from jeans and backpacks.
Who the white model suits
Choose the JBL Tune 720BT White if you value a minimal look and are happy to give it a quick wipe now and then. It suits frequent flyers and weekend travellers who want light headphones that fold away, office workers with a white or silver setup, and anyone who already owns white earbuds and wants a matching over-ear pair. If your headphones get thrown into a work bag without a case every day, the black or blue model will forgive that habit better than white.
Built for trips: weight, folding and battery
At 220 g the JBL Tune 720BT White is one of the lighter over-ear headphones you can wear on a long flight, and the padded headband spreads that weight. The frame folds so it slips into a carry-on beside a laptop. JBL quotes up to 76 hours of playback, without stating the volume used, and a full recharge over USB-C takes about two hours. Five minutes on a charger at the gate adds around three hours. When the battery is empty, the detachable audio cable lets you plug in wired, for example to a seat-back screen with the right adapter.
Sound and connections on the move
In the JBL Tune 720BT White, two 40 mm dynamic drivers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz with 32-ohm impedance and 101 dB sensitivity, tuned to JBL Pure Bass. That warm, bass-forward sound helps music cut through cabin rumble, although without active noise cancelling the isolation comes only from the cushions. Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint keeps a phone and a tablet connected together, handy when you watch a film on a tablet and want calls from your phone to come through. The JBL Headphones app offers EQ presets, a custom EQ and voice prompts in your language.
Calls and controls
For calls, the JBL Tune 720BT White has one built-in microphone and supports HFP 1.7.2 over Bluetooth 5.3, with A2DP 1.3.2 and AVRCP 1.6.2 for music and controls. Voice Aware plays your own voice back into the earcups so you speak naturally instead of raising your voice. Buttons on the earcup handle answering calls, volume and playback, so you can manage everything without taking the phone out on a crowded platform or in a narrow aircraft seat.
Who This Is Not For
The JBL Tune 720BT White is not for buyers who want a headphone that never shows marks; white needs regular wiping. It has no active noise cancelling, so it will not quiet engine noise the way ANC models do. Calls rely on a single microphone, which is less clear outdoors in wind. JBL publishes no IP rating, so avoid using it in rain or for sweaty workouts, and competitive gamers will notice Bluetooth delay compared with a wired gaming headset.
