Both are rated at up to 12 hours. The Pulse 4 makes sense when you want the light show at a lighter weight and a lower price.
Who This Is Not For
The JBL Pulse 4 has no dust rating, so it is not the best pick for sandy beach trips. It runs on the older Bluetooth 4.2. JBL lists no speakerphone. There is no charger in the box. And if you want the most output for a large outdoor crowd, 20 W RMS from one driver will feel limited next to bigger JBL party speakers.
