The JBL Grip Pink is the Grip in a soft, dusty pink that runs across the woven grille and the JBL logo. It is the colour people pick for a bedroom shelf, a dressing table or a bathroom counter, and one of the easiest speakers to give as a present. Under the fabric, the JBL Grip Pink is a full Grip: a 43 × 80 mm driver rated at 16 W RMS with AI Sound Boost, IP68 protection, a 1 m drop rating onto concrete, an ambient light on the back panel and Auracast over Bluetooth 5.4.

A Pink That Works as a Gift
Pink is the Grip most often bought for someone else: a birthday, a graduation or a thank-you for a friend who plays music while getting ready. The shade is muted rather than neon, so it suits a teenager’s room as well as an adult’s vanity table, and it looks good on camera, which matters to anyone who films their routine. The JBL Grip Pink arrives in JBL’s sealed retail box, and the colour carries the same hardware and features as every other Grip, so nobody gets a lesser speaker because they wanted pink.
Getting Ready in the Bathroom and Bedroom
The JBL Grip Pink is rated IP68, which JBL’s manual tests at 1.5 m for 30 minutes, so shower steam and splashes on a bathroom counter are no concern. Its upright shape, 64 mm wide and about 15 cm tall, stands on a narrow shelf beside a mirror without taking much space. A light fabric grille shows make-up and dust sooner than black; because the speaker is waterproof, you can rinse it with fresh water and let it dry fully before charging, rather than rubbing the fabric. JBL’s USB-C port warns you to unplug if it detects water inside.
The Back Light as a Mood Light
The ambient light on the back panel is what makes the JBL Grip Pink feel at home in a bedroom. A side button switches between several light themes and colours, and the JBL Portable app sets the brightness, so the glow on the wall behind the speaker can be soft in the evening or livelier with friends. The same app opens a 7-band EQ, letting you add bass for music or bring vocals forward for podcasts. For the longest battery life, turn the brightness down or switch the light off.
Sound and Battery, in Brief
A single 43 × 80 mm full-range driver delivers 16 W RMS, a continuous rating, across 70 Hz to 20 kHz at -6 dB, and AI Sound Boost adjusts the output in real time to keep it fuller and less distorted at higher volume. That fills a bedroom or a small gathering. JBL quotes up to 12 hours of playback from the 10.01 Wh battery, plus about 2 more with Playtime Boost, varying with volume and content. A full charge takes about 3 hours from a 5 V / 3 A source; no USB cable comes in the box.
Pairing With a Friend’s Grip
Over Auracast, two Grips play as a stereo pair, so a JBL Grip Pink and a friend’s Grip in any colour can share a wider soundstage. Several Auracast-enabled JBL speakers can also play the same playlist. Older JBL speakers without Auracast cannot join, so check before buying a second unit. The speaker weighs 0.385 kg, and its maximum operating temperature is 45 °C.
Who This Is Not For
The JBL Grip Pink is not for a large outdoor party: 16 W RMS from one driver suits a room or a small group. At 0.385 kg it is heavier than a pocket speaker such as the Go 5, so it is a bag speaker rather than a clutch speaker. No USB cable is included, JBL lists no microphone for calls, and pairing works only with Auracast-enabled JBL speakers. The light grille shows make-up and dust sooner than dark colours.
