The Govee Phantasy Outdoor Strip Lights 10m (model H6172) are an RGBIC LED strip made for balconies, terraces, garden edges and outdoor seating. The 10 m strip and its control box are rated IP65, every segment can show a different colour, and you control it over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from the Govee Home app or with Alexa and Google Assistant.

Where a 10 m outdoor strip works
A flexible strip suits places that permanent eaves lights do not: under a balcony railing, along a pergola beam, around a majlis seating area or the edge of a terrace. Ten metres is enough to wrap a typical apartment balcony or outline a small garden bed.
RGBIC effects and music sync
RGBIC means different parts of the strip can show different colours at the same time, so you get flowing gradients rather than one flat colour. Govee lists more than 64 scenes and music modes that follow the beat through the app, which is useful for gatherings outside on cooler evenings.
Power and weather protection
The strip and control box are IP65, which means protection against rain and water jets. The 24 V adapter is only IP44, so Govee says to keep it indoors or inside a waterproof IP65 box. Plan the cable route from an indoor or covered socket before you stick the strip down.
Control and connection
Setup uses Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz unlocks remote control, schedules and voice commands through Alexa or Google Assistant. If your outdoor area has weak Wi-Fi, the strip can still be controlled over Bluetooth from nearby.
Who This Is Not For
The adapter is not waterproof, so you need a covered socket or an enclosure. Govee does not publish the LED count, brightness or wattage for this model, so it is mood lighting, not work lighting. It is not a permanent eaves system: adhesive strips outdoors may need re-fixing after long summers. And there is no Matter support.
