The Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep Special Edition pairs Google’s screenless Fitbit Air tracker with a band made for sleeping in: a soft, micro-adjustable Sleepy Blue strap carrying a silk-print label of Sleeping Pikachu, closed by a Polished Champagne Gold stainless steel buckle. Each morning your sleep stages and sleep duration sync from Google Health to the Pokémon Sleep app, where they become the Drowsy Power you use to meet new Pokémon. The tracker itself is the standard Fitbit Air: 12 g with the band, up to 7 days per charge, water resistant to 50 m.

The Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep Band
Everything that sets the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep apart sits on the strap. Google calls the colour Sleepy Blue and says the soft blues were chosen to reflect the calm of night. A custom silk-print label of Sleeping Pikachu is stitched right onto the strap, and the buckle is Polished Champagne Gold stainless steel.
The band is micro-adjustable, so you can set it a little looser for bed without it sliding around, which matters on a tracker you are meant to wear all night. Google lists it as one size for wrists from 130 to 190 mm — narrower than the 130–210 mm range of the other Fitbit Air textile bands, so check your wrist before ordering if it is on the large side.
How Sleep Data Reaches Pokémon Sleep
The Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep records sleep stages (light and deep) and sleep duration overnight. Google says the Google Health and Pokémon Sleep apps then sync those figures automatically each morning — through Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS. In the game, your real rest is turned into Drowsy Power, which decides which Pokémon you can discover and befriend.
One point worth knowing: Google states that this Pokémon Sleep connection works with all Google Pixel and Fitbit wearables. The Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep does not unlock anything in the game that a standard Fitbit Air would not; what the edition adds is the themed band.
What the Tracker Measures
Outside the game, the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep is a full Fitbit Air. Without any subscription, Google lists steps, calories, distance, cardio load and Readiness; Sleep Score, sleep schedule, duration and stages; and 24/7 heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate and blood oxygen (SpO2). The sensors are an optical heart rate monitor, a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, red and infrared SpO2 sensors, a device temperature sensor and a vibration motor.
That vibration motor powers silent alarms you set in the Google Health app, so the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep can wake you with a buzz on the wrist. Heart rhythm checks for signs of atrial fibrillation are also part of Fitbit Air, but Google offers Irregular Rhythm Notifications only in select locations and not for users under 22, so we cannot confirm they activate on a UAE account.
Google Health Premium and the UAE
Google includes a 3-month Google Health Premium trial with the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep. Premium adds Google Health Coach (built with Gemini), detailed sleep insights with coaching, adaptive fitness plans, a workout library and mindfulness sessions. Google’s terms: new and returning users only, one trial per customer, a valid payment method required, automatic renewal at $9.99 a month in the US unless cancelled, and you must be over 18 to enrol.
Google’s list of countries where Premium and Google Health Coach are available does not include the UAE. None of the sleep tracking or the Pokémon Sleep sync described above depends on Premium.
Battery, Charging and Water
Google rates the battery at up to 7 days and recommends charging every few days; actual life depends on settings and use. A full charge takes about 90 minutes, and 5 minutes on the USB-C cable gives about one day — enough to top up while you shower in the morning so the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep is back on for the night. The tracker is water resistant up to 50 m, and Google advises drying the band after it gets wet.
Phone Requirements and Where This Edition Is Sold
Setting up the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep needs a Google Account and the Google Health app on Android 11 or newer or iOS 16.4 or newer; the tracker connects over Bluetooth 5.0 with a sync range of up to about 30 ft (9 m). The Pokémon Sleep app is a separate download.
Google launched the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep in the US and Japan only, so the units we sell are imported rather than a UAE-distributed version. The tracker and app work the same way here, but Google’s own after-sales support for this edition is organised in those launch countries; your cover with us is the 1-year Totot warranty on the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep.
Who This Is Not For
The Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep is not for anyone who wants a screen — there is no display for time, notifications or heart rate. If you do not play Pokémon Sleep, a standard Fitbit Air colour gives you the same tracker for less. The band stops at 190 mm, so larger wrists may need a different Fitbit Air band. And if you are buying for AI coaching, Google does not list the UAE for Google Health Premium.
