The DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo is the controller-ready kit for DJI’s smallest follow-me drone. The Neo 2 itself weighs 151 g, launches from your palm at the press of a side button and lands back in your hand when the shot is done. It films 4K video from a 1/2-inch sensor on a two-axis gimbal, and its obstacle sensing now covers every direction using omnidirectional vision, a downward infrared sensor and a forward-facing LiDAR. This combo adds the RC-N3 remote, the DJI Neo 2 Digital Transceiver for O4 video transmission, three batteries, a charging hub and propeller guards.

What the Fly More Combo adds
DJI describes the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo as the drone, the RC-N3 controller, the digital transceiver, three batteries, a charging hub and propeller guards. The transceiver is the important part: without it the Neo 2 talks to your phone over Wi-Fi, which DJI rates at an effective range of 500 m in open conditions. Clip the transceiver on and pair the RC-N3, and the drone switches to O4 digital transmission with a 1080p/60fps live view. In the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo, the three batteries and hub turn short hops into a proper session, since each battery covers roughly 19 minutes in DJI’s best-case test.

Palm launch, ActiveTrack and quick shots
You do not need the controller to fly the drone in the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo. Point it at yourself, press the side button and it takes off from your palm; Return to Palm brings it back to your hand. ActiveTrack follows you while you walk, run or ride, and the automatic shot modes include Circle, Rocket and Dronie. DJI says each battery handles at least 20 palm take-offs and landings when shooting back-to-back quick shots in those modes. Voice control works through the DJI Fly app, and DJI notes that controlling the drone with the phone app alone limits altitude to 60 m.

Camera and video modes
The DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo films from a 1/2-inch image sensor behind an f/2.2 lens with a 119.8 degree field of view (16.5 mm equivalent). Landscape video reaches 4K 16:9 at up to 60fps, and 4K at 100fps when you fly with the motion controller or a remote such as the included RC-N3. Vertical 2.7K (1512 x 2688) at up to 60fps suits Reels and Shorts. Photos are 12 MP JPEG. A two-axis mechanical gimbal stabilises tilt and roll, with RockSteady electronic stabilisation on top. Bitrate tops out at 80 Mbps in MP4.

Omnidirectional sensing with LiDAR
DJI lists an omnidirectional monocular vision system combined with a downward infrared sensor and a forward-facing LiDAR. Sensing range is 0.5 to 15 m in each direction, but it only works fully within limits: horizontal sensing is effective at flight speeds up to 8 m/s and upward or downward sensing up to 3 m/s. The vision sensors also need visible texture and more than 5 lux of light, so night flights, glass walls and plain surfaces reduce protection. On the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo it is a real safety net for following you through trees or along a path, not a guarantee.

Range, storage and batteries
With the transceiver and RC-N3 from the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo, DJI quotes up to 10 km of transmission under FCC rules and 6 km under CE, measured in open, interference-free conditions; in a city DJI itself estimates about 1.5 to 3 km. The drone stores footage on 49 GB of internal storage and does not accept a microSD card. Each of the three batteries in the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo is 1,606 mAh, 11.5 Wh and 46 g. The charging hub fills all three batteries from 0 to 100% in about 68 minutes, but only with a charger above 45 W; between 30 and 45 W it charges two at a time.
Weight, wind and UAE conditions
The Neo 2 weighs 151 g without the transceiver and 160 g with it. DJI rates wind resistance at 10.7 m/s (level 5) and top speed at 12 m/s in Sport mode. The operating range is -10 to 40 degrees C, so midday summer flights in the UAE can exceed it; early mornings and evenings are the safer window. Drone flying in the UAE is regulated by the GCAA and by each emirate, and the rules change, so before flying the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo check the current registration and no-fly requirements before your first flight, whatever the weight of the drone.
Who This Is Not For
The DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo is not for anyone who needs long flights or a large sensor: each battery gives about 19 minutes at best (about 17 minutes with the guards fitted), and the 1/2-inch sensor will not match the Mini or Air series in low light. It has no microSD slot, so you are limited to 49 GB of internal storage. Its rated operating limit of 40 degrees C rules out midday summer flying in the UAE. DJI does not list a wall charger in the bundle, so you need your own USB-C PD charger above 45 W to charge three batteries at once.
