The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Chilled Lilac come with three eartip sizes and three stability band sizes, giving nine combinations. The eartip seals the ear canal so bass stays in and outside noise stays out; the stability band braces against the outer ear so the bud does not rotate loose. Some people need a small tip with a large band, or the reverse. If the bass sounds thin or the cancelling feels weak, try a larger tip before touching the EQ, because a better seal changes the result immediately.
Quiet, Aware and Off
Quiet blocks as much of your surroundings as the earbuds can. Aware lets outside sound in through the microphones, so you hear a colleague or a gate announcement without removing an earbud. Off is plain listening with no processing. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Chilled Lilac carry six microphones in total, three per earbud, shared between noise cancelling and picking up your voice on calls. A customisable gesture keeps Quiet and Aware one touch apart, and either bud works on its own, although Bose recommends wearing both for the best noise cancelling.

The case charges over USB-C or on a compatible wireless pad; no wireless charger or power adapter is included.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Chilled Lilac suit anyone who wants something other than black without a colour that looks loud in a meeting. The light shade is practical too: a bud dropped on a dark floor or under a car seat is easier to spot. The trade-off is that a pale surface shows skin oils and make-up along the edges over time, so wipe the buds with a dry cloth and clean the removable eartips regularly. Lilac pairs well with light phone cases, and it works at the gym, where the stability bands keep the buds in place.
Touch Controls, App and Connection
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Chilled Lilac work with the Bose QCE app on iPhone and Android: a five-band EQ, custom single, double and triple taps and press-and-hold, and Remote Selfie, which turns a gesture or “Hey Headphones, take photo” into a camera shutter (voice control needs the app running in the background). Connection is Bluetooth 5.3 with up to about 9 metres of range and multipoint for a phone and a laptop, plus a Low Latency Audio mode for games and films.
Who This Is Not For
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Chilled Lilac are not for swimming or showering: IPX4 covers sweat and splashes, not immersion. Bose lists only the A2DP, HFP and AVRCP profiles and no Snapdragon Sound, so there is no aptX or LDAC. CustomTune and Immersive Audio from the pricier QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are not part of this model, and no power adapter or wireless charger is in the box.
