The Soundcore Space One Pro Black, which soundcore calls Jet Black, is an over-ear noise-cancelling headphone designed to travel. Its FlexiCurve frame folds the headphones down to half their size, so they fit a backpack corner instead of needing their own bag. Inside are 40 mm drivers with triple-composite diaphragms, a 4-stage noise-cancelling system using six microphones, LDAC support for Android phones and, by soundcore’s figures, up to 40 hours of listening with ANC on and 60 hours with it off. Jet Black is one of two colours soundcore offers, alongside Cream White.

Jet Black for commuting and travel
Black is the practical choice for headphones that go everywhere. On the metro, in an airport lounge or at a desk, the Soundcore Space One Pro Black blends with work clothes and travel gear, and the dark cushions do not show the grey tint that hair products and make-up leave on lighter ear pads after a few months. It also hides scuffs from being packed and unpacked every day. If you want headphones that look the same after a year of daily use and draw no attention on a video call, Jet Black is the colour to choose.
FlexiCurve: folding to half the size
Most over-ear ANC headphones only swivel their ear cups. soundcore says the FlexiCurve structure of the Soundcore Space One Pro Black reduces its size by 50% when folded, using a segmented headband and rotating joints. That is what decides whether full-size headphones come along on a short trip or stay at home. soundcore notes that creases can appear on the ear cups after unfolding and can be smoothed by hand. The trade-off for the folding frame is weight: 286.2 g, which is on the heavier side for travel headphones.
Noise cancelling: four stages and six microphones
soundcore describes an exclusive 4-stage noise-cancelling system in which six microphones, including two extra feedforward mics, work together to identify and block noise. The default ANC has five levels that you pick in the soundcore app, and Adaptive ANC 3.0 is a separate mode that is off by default. In soundcore’s FAQ the ANC mainly targets noise between 50 Hz and 1.5 kHz, such as engines, air conditioning and road rumble, and it is less effective against high-pitched sounds like voices nearby. For calls, four microphones with AI enhancement pick up your voice.
Sound, LDAC and Dolby
The Soundcore Space One Pro Black uses 40 mm drivers with triple-composite diaphragms over Bluetooth 5.3. On Android, LDAC can be switched on in the app for higher-resolution wireless audio; iOS does not support LDAC. The app also offers HearID 2.0, which tunes the sound to your hearing, and a Dolby sound effect that soundcore does not recommend for podcasts. LDAC and the Dolby effect cannot run at the same time, and with LDAC on the headphones cannot connect to two devices at once. There is also an AUX input for wired listening.
Battery life and multipoint
soundcore rates the battery at up to 40 hours with ANC and up to 60 hours without, and a 5-minute charge gives about 8 hours of music, which covers a long-haul flight from a short top-up at the gate. Multipoint is enabled automatically when LDAC is off: the Soundcore Space One Pro Black stays paired with a phone and a laptop and plays from whichever device started audio last. soundcore warns that notification sounds can be treated as audio and take over playback, so muting laptop alerts during calls helps.
Who This Is Not For
At 286.2 g, the Soundcore Space One Pro Black is not the lightest choice for long wear in hot weather. iPhone users do not get LDAC, and anyone who needs two devices connected at once has to leave LDAC off. The ANC is tuned for low-frequency noise, so chatter in an open office is reduced less than engine drone. soundcore lists no water-resistance rating, so these are not gym or running headphones.
