Most DualSense colourways swap one shade for another. The DualSense God of War Ragnarok instead uses a two-tone scheme: a cool blue paired with an icy white, which PlayStation says was inspired by Midgard, the Norse realm of the game. The palette is cold on purpose, and it reads that way on a desk.

Release Date, and Not the 20th Anniversary Edition
PlayStation revealed the DualSense God of War Ragnarok on September 13, 2022, took pre-orders from September 27, 2022, and made it available on November 9, 2022, the game’s launch day. Sony’s announcement does not give a price or a production number, so we do not quote either.
It is easy to confuse with a later Sony release. In September 2025 PlayStation announced a separate DualSense wireless controller – God of War 20th Anniversary Limited Edition, with a different design. The DualSense God of War Ragnarok sold here is the 2022 Midgard blue and white controller.
Who This Is Not For
The icy white areas show hand marks and dust more readily than an all-black controller, so it suits owners who do not mind a regular wipe with a dry cloth. If you want a controller that disappears on a dark desk, a black DualSense is the better choice.
Sony does not publish DualSense battery life in hours, and standalone DualSense controllers are sold without a USB cable, so you will need the PS5’s cable or your own USB-C cable. Players who want back buttons, swappable sticks or trigger stops need the DualSense Edge; this edition keeps the standard layout.
